Chukkles
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1855199/ It's set in south central LA and uses real locations. The acting is superb and the characters are really fleshed out. Tom Selleck and Micheal Pèna work so well together, I'd love to see them do something else together. Action sequences feel very real. The two actors put a lot of time into training and researching for their roles and it pays off well. Apparently Tom Selleck went for a ride along (first time he's done it) and saw someone bleed out in front of him. (Random tidbit I learned form the special features). I recommend this to everyone, it's not just an action film, it's about people more than anything else. Wow I haven't seen a filter on here n a long time. J.a.k.e G.y.l.l.e.n.h.a.l.l becomes Tom Selleck. Tom Selleck Edit: really, nothing, on GTA forums, this is a movie about cops in LA. Everyone here should have an opinion of it. Mister Pink
I have to say I quite enjoyed that film. It's quite sad but it's also fun and quite humane. RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)
I Love Anna Kournikova
I think its a movie people either love or hate. I turned it off an hour into it because I was bored to death of it. SF Giants 2010 - 2012 - 2014 World Series Champs

Was you expecting a full on action film? It's more like a movie version of the cops series.

I didn't know what it was before I started watching it so I did assume it was a thriller/action movie. See didn't know anything about it, but when I picked it off the shelf I had an image of cops just doing their jobs, I actually hoped it was like that. It was exactly what I wanted and a bit more. I wanted something like this with that "swat" movie with Colin Farrell, but that just turned out to be a generic overblown action film. I was worried this might be the same thing, it wasnt . Mister Pink
Yeah, action films aren't really doing it for me so much any more. I mean, I love them but unless actions films are done well, where there's something deeper than just action for the sake of action. End of Watch obviously focuses on the human side of cop life. You sit with the cops. You see a partnership between two young men, hard working men, good men and their pursuit of happiness and the budding of relationships they have with the women in their lives. It's something more realistic. I think Gyllenhaal and the other chap (who looks like he's set to go on to be successful in Hollywood, he's a good actor) nailed the buddy-thing well. Their chemistry worked in this film and I think that's very important for the film. It immediately reminded of me and how I act with my best friend. For all the flack the L.A.P.D get with Rampart, Rodney Kind incident and their general portrayal in Hollywood and other media, this film shows the human side, not only for the L.A.P.D but any law enforcement outfit. You might hate cops or what they are about and alot of them can be c*nts and whatnot but behind the uniform and the badge you have humans. Humans with lives, families, girlfriends and wives with interests in filmmaking and other good things. @ILAK: Always good to see you around. Probably my favourite username on the forum! Johnny Playert
Yeah, very cool flick. Just the banter between the two sets a great stmosphere. But everything that happens is quite awesome.
