I don't care what "race" - I find it equally funny. e.g. the scene in San Andreas when Sweet and Kendl are arguing about dating Cesar and Sweet says "What about when you have kids? Leroy Hernandez don't sound right" and Kendl says "his name isn't Hernandez you racist f*ck" and Sweet says "Well Leroy Lopez then." Trevor should have and probably does have a hate for other races. Indeed. I too find that sort of humour amusing. Yeah Trevor seems to be a stereotypical redneck so really you'd expect nothing less. me too. for example Zeus from Die Hard 3. Trevor seems to have some sort of control and balance in his ego. So I dont think Racism will come into play. This doesn't mean that Trevor isn't racist (he probably isn't), but that they're probably not going to discuss it outside of light jokes. I don't see him being politically correct, I just don't think he'll have any kind of irrational hatred towards a particular race. He hates everyone equally. Official General Posted March 22, 2013 Share Posted March 22, 2013 I cannot see Trevor being racist, since he's gonna be one of the protagonists and traditionally in GTA, the protagonists always take a neutral stance on issues such as race. Not surprising, seeing as they deal with a wide variety of different people of different races and backgrounds that will end up being be their ally, support or contact. I can see Trevor probably being insensitive and politically incorrect on certain subjects, with race or ethnicity possibly being one of them. But I don't think Trevor will be a racist. It would be too controversial and provocative a move by Rockstar to allow gamers to play as a racist character. There will surely be great outrage that real-life racists would be able to channel their racist energies and fantasies via a video game character. I was about to name some GTA IV characters, the bikers weren't very politically correct either but it was fine for the game because of what it portrayed. They wouldn't be comfortable controlling such a character and most other people that hold modern social ideologies wouldn't be able to identify with such a character either. There will most likely be racist elements due to stereotypes of gangs etc.. but I highly doubt it will come from the mouths of our 3 main characters. Racist NPC are fine to include (if it's a big character, they'll usually be shown in antagonistic light and probably be killed off or something) but as a controllable character it's not good for playability, which therefore means it's not good for sales. GTA seems to relish in offering many controversial subjects, but homophobia, racism (out of "acceptable" context) and rape are big no no's in today's society (and for good reason!).
