L.A. rappers at its finest. maybe an old school radio with songs similar to GTA san andreas. They won't put the same songs thats why i said similar songs. DryJohnson45 Posted March 24, 2013 Share Posted March 24, 2013 i understand that everyone is free to like whatever music they want,but if any of you have been tru the 90's hip hop and has some knowledge about how hip hop is actually made ,and the art of it ...when you get to the essence you really see that those modern "rappers" actually don't know sh*t about how to be creative or original or are not talented at all.Most of them actually are dumb and suck at making that art of music,but they sell cloths and sh*t to little teenagers and wanna be gangsters ,making a lot of money for the industry . That's why they are so popular,if the game was real and artists had to prove themselfs in rap battles like a lot of real oldschool cats did back in the day ,then most of those modern day "rappers" will go down the sh*tter because they can't really rap for sh*t! I don't want mainstream rap on the radio,just real underground hip hop from the LA scene and maybe some oldschool for the nostalgia of it God this thread is full of people like you, backpackers and people stuck in the 90s. Today's rapper suck unlike the 90's where you had amazing rappers. http://images.puahate.com/this-is-a-rapper.jpg 2pac is an above average rapper at best, but has a lot of soul and emotion in his work. Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Drake are all very talented. Seriously, Wayne was on top of the game up until about 2010. Tha Carter 1-3 and his The Drought and The Drought is Over series of mixtapes are all really good. He rides beats very well, and is actually a fine lyricist. Nicki Minaj can rap. Her verse on Monster by Kanye West is probably one of the best on the album; different flows, voices and great lyrics in one verse. Say what you want about her actual output of material, but she can rap pretty well. Drake's Take Care is a great album, critically acclaimed and commercially successful, for good reason. His "So Far Gone" mixtape is also probably one of the best all time, and he's been in the hip-hop scene for about 7 years now. I'm going to go out on a limb and say you've never listened to an album or mixtape by any of these three and are only judging them by their radio singles. Maybe you should listen to one and come back with an informed opinion about them, you'll probably enjoy Take Care and Tha Carter III as soon as you start listening to them. Listen to these too: IMO, Angel Haze is a much better female rapper than Nicki Minaj... except Angel Haze isnt really popular This dudes need to get out of here with those fake ass rappers, "nicki minaj can rap" hahha she can f*ck the whole crew and get famous. I like drake but he doesn't deserve to be on a L.A. rappers list. Lil Wayne shouldv'e died in that coma f*ck who drinks anti-freeze and rick ross needs to have a heart attack with his illuminatic fat self. I'm good with just a decent mainstream rap station and more looking forward to the obscure music stations, like master sounds. I like rap, but when I play GTA I prefer funky chill out tunes. And you can bitch about mainstream all you want, but there's actually a lot of good stuff coming out in the mainstream recently. Pac claimed the west, so I'll go with that. It's where he became a man. And the west coast has a lot of good rappers old/new. Saying the "west coast just got N.W.A, Snoop, E-40, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar", is like saying the east only has that short list of rappers you listed.
