Dre, Eminem, Pac, Biggie, Eazy E, Ice Cube, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, 50 Cent, Wu-Tang-Clan, Kid Ink, A$AP Rocky.

Pretty much it. No Lil Gayne, Drake, Jay Z or Kanye and other bullsh*t mainstream rappers.

well jay z right now is bad but he used to be one of the best rappers of all time.

The Scottish Guy

The only hip hop tune I loved from the IV series, and what a beat it is. One of the better post '00 hip hop beats ever imo. Great track...

Todays rap is complete bullsh*t I mean they supposedly already have cheif keef in the game which is f*cked up if we are lucky they might have a couple throwbacks and play 2pac or Eazy E. But if they have nicki minaj and 2 chainz im turning off the radio for good.

today's rap isnt bullsh*t. You just have to listen to the right rappers.

Yeah, I hope to hear some Kendrick, OFWGKTA, & J Cole. I don't listen to much new sh*t, so I'm hoping we get a lot of old school LA Hip Hop, and some old school from all over from the best years IMO(late 80's - mid/late 90's). It would be cool if there was a radio show like The Wake Up Show in GTA V with in-game emcees giving freestyles and battling.

That ''The Wake Up'' show idea is interesting... Kinda like The Breakfast Club on power 105.1

A classic hip-hop station with Biggie, 2pac, Eric B & Rakim, Ice Cube, A Tribe Called Quest and the like would be cool. Also, a modern station with Lil Wayne, Drake, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick, Kanye, Jay-Z maybe some more recent Nas and some Outkast on it would be great, along with a lot of other stuff. Wanna cruise around Inner City Los Santos blaring It Was A Good Day.

We don't want drake and lil wayne in the game. It would ruin the soun..dtrack. We're talking about west coast music not east coast.

Speak for everyone why don't you. And yes I know, that's why I mentioned Kendrick.

a lot of people don't want rappers such as drake, lil wayne and tyga in the game bacausw they suck.

Well, i gotta say i do like me some Drake and Tyga... And Tyga is supposedly from Compton. But he probably wont be on GTA 5

The lyrics on the songs of those mainstream rappers are stupid as f*ck, but some of those songs should be cool to just cruise around the city... not because of the vocals, but because of the beats on the songs. They usually have some really good producers. Of course i want mainly good rappers that rap about things that make sense.

We need some old school rappers like 2pac and ice cube.

2pac - 2 of America's most wanted

2pac - I ain't mad at cha

N.W.A - Chin Check

Ice cube - Gangsta rap made me do it

Gangsta rap made me do it actually has a really good chance of making it in the game since it came out in 2008 and It's a pretty good rap song.

Official General

I'd say we need two rap stations - one for old school LA/West Coast rap and and one for new school LA/West Coast rap.

As much as I will admit that rap music of more recent times is of lower standard than those in the past, we still need contemporary stuff to reflect the present-day.

What rappers from the L.A. area would you like to hear on the radios of GTA 5?

I'd preferably would like to see Kendrick Lamar... And you?

Agreed with having Kendrick Lamar, best rapper yet showing old school Hip Hop material in his music and i feel like he isnt so modern with his music, he talks about real life like how he was in compton. His stuff isnt just about pussy, money and weed. I would like to see, nas, tupac, nwa, biggie, dr dre, snoop, eminem, jay rock, ice cube and definately kendrick lamar. Others also but those are my main wants.

Every rapper you mentioned is mainstream...

Did you read the word, "Bullsh*t" mainstream rappers? It clearly meant other bullsh*t rappers that can't rap for sh*t. And no, Pac, Biggie, Cube, Dre, Eminem, were clearly not in it for mainstream. They used music to expose what was happening to people in the hood. Other than that, the rest are fake and "Mainstreamed".

I wouldnt consider Kendrick mainstream, he isnt very well known like other rappers. Hes getting there, i think right now he is my favorite right behind Tupac.

Tyga isnt from compton but from the valley. I do like his music but not as much as Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre and such. Cali love is one of his best songs. Keep drake on the down low and Lil Wayne and 2 chainz out of the game period.

I know, i know. But you gotta understand that this is 2013... i understand that SA had alot of 90's music, because it was based in the 90's... But since this is GTA 5, they can have 1990's rap, but ALSO modern day L.A. rappers

Ohhhh Modern rappers, now I see, NONE.

Empire State of Mind - JayZ. Fits in with the city

i want more WEST COAST Rappers then East.

Kendrick Lamar, Hopsin, Nipssey Hussle, Jay Rock as new rappers.

and old ppl like 2PAC, EazyE,Old Dr Dre, Old Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Bone Thugz.

and please no JAY Z like wtf? he's the least rapper i would like to see in a WEST COAST Setting...wtf...

anyway if i cold put a rapper from a place i would pick 50 Cent bbecause his new song fits in the storyline "A New Day" the hook reminds me of GTA V.

I won't limit it to only L.A., but Bay Area and people who kind of represent them.

2 Pac (but no cliched song "to live & die in L.A." or "california love", something else please...)

Eazy-E & Bone thugs-n-harmony (Btnh are from Cleveland, but LA is their home away from home)

Eminem not mainstream? Dude can you please stop contradicting yourself and saying junk that isn't correct most of those groups you listed were mainstream. Non-mainstream is stuff like The Roots or Common.

And personally I'd love more Kanye West stuff, preferably from his older albums though.

I live here in LA and love the west coast rap music..but i hope they dont put no cliche/generic west coast rap music on this game. They can throw some classics in ofcourse-but dont over saturate it with west coast rappers. They dont even play west coast rap on the radio unless its snoop-game or kendrick..west coast rappers are starting to sound like southern rappers now days..

im looking forward to the alternative stations n sh*t...I loved the Jazz station in gta iv

Son, I wouldn't think they played WEST COAST rappers on THE WEST COAST, becuz they ussually did that during the 90s since the fueds and stuff lol. Real sh*t tho, Everyone in Black Hippy (Kendrick, Jay Rock, Ab Soul and SchoolBoy Q) would be nice but they wouldn't because they rap about the government and illuminati and real street struggles

I guarantee they'll "Bitch Dont Kill My Vibe' or that Drank song by Kendrick Lamar. It would make sense... I can see Kid Cudi on here since he is dropping an album soon. Danny Brown Said he's doing something for GTA..The Game ofcourse.

I think it would be interesting if Dr. Dre provided some original soundtrack work..or some sh*t...idk

90's and early 00's tupac, n.w.a., snoop, the game, ...

[email protected] 2000's Tupac.

Kendrick Lamar is the sh*t, but anyone who thinks he doesn't rap about money, weed, or pussy should listen to Money Trees, or The Recipe and then get back to me. cool.gif
