AZAZEL
Hey fellas. I had a set of wireless Corsair Vengeance 2000s which broke apart the other day, and while I can still wear them, they're now very loose on my head. Shoddy build quality and materials, but they were comfy, sounded great, and the wirelessness was fantastic. I prefer not having cables getting in my way during the compulsory rage filled flailing that usually ensues an intense gaming session. So yeah, can any of you recommend a good, solid, wireless headset?
Shoumaker
Can't you get another pair of the Wireless Corsair Vengeance 2000s? Also I'm guessing you don't have a budget. Other great Headsets for gaming consist of: Astro Gaming A50 Wireless Headset Pros: Excellent sound quality. Comfortable. Cons: Expensive. It has a slightly awkward control placement. Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 Pros: Long range. High-quality audio output. Handy controls on the headset. Can be used while charging. Cons: Bass isn't particularly powerful. AZAZEL
Thanks man, I'll check those out. And no, I don't really have a budget, I want something wireless, that I can live with having strapped to my head a few hours a day. When I got the Corsairs they were brand new on the market, and the reviews I read were all positive. Now that they've been on the market for a while, things aren't as rosy red. I see that a lot of people have experienced the plastic headband snapping in exactly the same place as mine did, so I'm not too keen on investing in another pair, despite the lovely 100mm drivers and sound quality. Ryan
Quite surprised to hear your Vengeance 2000 snapped in half. I've got the 1300 and while I wouldn't call it the most well built headset, it doesn't feel like they would break apart easily either. Not sure how you broke them, but the 2000 has a two year warranty on it. Assuming you didn't rage and break them yourself, I'm sure Corsair's renowned customer service could help you out. sivispacem
Buy 5 quids worth of proper rhino-strength gaffer tape and tape them back together. I've treated them real nice. Looks more like a combination of bad design and poor materials: Look how it's snapped right at that elevated bit and cracked down the middle, this just by calmly pulling them apart to detach them from my head. The other side will give in at some point, too. A drop of glue or the suggested duct tape would no undoubtedly sturdy them up once more, but I'd much rather use this as an opportunity to get some new tech. Ryan
I'd give Corsair a call. I'm sure they'd send you a new pair. Although, if you want something new, so be it.
Finn 7 five 11
Astro A50's like Shoumic said are the best, will cost you $300 though.
AZAZEL
Astro A50's like Shoumic said are the best, will cost you $300 though. They do look nice, but the problem is that there's very few retailers that stock Astro headsets here in Denmark - I've actually only found one so far, and they want $410 for them. That's two Logitech G930's.
