universetwisters
I'm sure that if you opened this thread, I reckon you like techno. I love techno myself, but I hated the limited choice of techno that was in the past few GTA games, which were House music. I don't know about you guys, but I like my techno upbeat and jumpy, like these: Hope you enjoyed the bouncy beats. Anyway, I hope that the techno station in V will have more "upbeat" techno genres, be it gabber, happy hardcore, nightcore, etc. and none of this slow & mellow "house" bullsh*t. What do you guys think?
Remi749
happy hardcore or nightcore doesn't fit any of the Grand Theft Auto games, sorry, the closest to techno will most certainly be electro / house and ala GTA IV electro shock. I'm not sure if there will be more than one radio station that focuses only on electronic music, and I doubt that Kavinsky will add any techno songs to he's Nightride FM station... I doubt it, but this is just my opinion though
universetwisters
happy hardcore or nightcore doesn't fit any of the Grand Theft Auto games I don't see why it wouldn't though, given that I'd much rather be doing a car chase in pumped-up music rather than this mellow softcore sh*t. That's just me, though

That's just me, though Something like rise fm from III i would like to see. It would also be sweet if at night the radio channels have a different program. Like non stop stuff and no talking. And in the sense of this topic, overday pop music and at night more techno-like music. Dont see it happening though (the night program thing)
KorinC
Gabber/Real Hardcore > Happy Hardcore which is just a music co-genre of Real Hardcore Techno, alright.
Steven Ride
Honestly there will probably be one electronic music station on top of Nightride FM, which will probably all be French/Electro house. Maybe the general edm one will have garage, dubstep, deep house and some cool stuff like that.
Mister Pink
I'd like some Techno but not gabber/happy hardcore. I hate all those cheesy subgenres of electronic music. I'd love to hear a little Techno, not so much House but a little and some Electro and IDM too. Was introduced to this last night! Wow OR some actual Techno...seen this guy play live Edited March 18, 2013 by ThePinkFloydSound RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)
Alexeu
I hope there is a trance station, not a fan of techno.

Rather than listing all the subgenres of house that was in past GTA games, I just decided to generalize house music, if that's the right word
dukee152
R* is great at finding songs that are not well known or some of the less popular songs artists have made but stuff that the masses will like. Look at electrochoc and look at beat 102.
JohnMonroe85
Well, as much as I love techno... I think it wouldn't fit GTA V. I absolutly loved Electrochoc in IV. (It fit the characters of Niko and Luiz) It wouldn't fit Franklin... It wouldn't fit Trevor... and it wouldn't fit Michael... The music you listed... well... and this is bias on my part... I think it sucks.. If you like it, thats fine by me, I won't disrespect for it on any level. But it just would not fit game nor the characters. Not even "true" techno-like music like on Electro-Choc. For V I wanna hear hardrock, hiphop, rock'n roll, popmusic as it would fit the characters more...
Travís.
I would be overly happy if a few skrillex songs were on GTA V there was a skrillx song on far cry 3 it would go well
Cherrymoon
When i think of techno, i think of : Dave clarke, Green velvet, Jeff mills, Marco bailey, Chris Liebing, Dj Rush, Laurant Garnier... Just to name a few. And i love if there's techno in V. Edited March 18, 2013 by Cherrymoon
saintsrow
When I drive around LA, these days I just use the smartphone as my radio, and when I want to hear electro type stuff, I flip between a few things like Goa/PsyTrance, IbizaSonica, Chromonova, CryoSleep, etc. Some house and techno does not move me so much, but these stations tend to have enough variety and interesting mixes with sound I like. So it could be so much easier, if GTAV would just let us define several additional radio stations of our own, from internet radio stations like SOMA FM, for example. But I think that the providers of those channels would not like having a few million GTAV players deep-linking to their channels and using their bandwidth. Reiji
Realistically, I can only imagine Crookers, deadmau5, Dillon Francis, Diplo, and Major Lazer.

hot_ur_n
This is why R* needs to add ability to play music from ones HDD on their console. Music should fit the gamer not the protags!
