universetwisters
What do you expect the rural small towns to be like? I'm hoping that they could be kinda like the small towns from San Andreas, but more "interactive", with their own police department, stores, and so fourth. Let's discuss. Kifflom112
Interesting topic. I expect small towns to have their own unique architecture, tourist traps, and a few or one franchised business - like a Wigwam or a Cluckin' Bell. I also expect some poor as dirt towns, some nice little towns, ans then some towns where there is a decent sized mansion or a few. I expect some to have lots of interiors, surrounding farms, good views, and some that are just dead or have aery residents. I want some towns to have creepy buildings or vibes or something weird nearby like an Epsilon club house tucked away, etc. I'll elaborate more later. GrandMaster Smith
I'm not really sure what to expect.. when I saw images of RDR prior to release I expected all these towns they showed to be like 2 times their actual size.. I remember an image of the Manzanita Post train station got me super hyped making me think there were massive mountainous areas to travel through with a fairly large town to discover, yet only to findout it was only the side of a single mountain which wasn't passable with a town with probably 2 buildings.. lol point being I'm really not expecting much. GTA SA actually did pretty well I think in their little towns, those rehashed in HD with NPC's actually doing things is what I expect. Though I would like to see towns twice the size of Blackwater in RDR or large communities branching out from Los Santos I really have no idea what to expect. Chris Fromage
YES! This GTA needs to have loads of small towns just like in San Andreas but more. But of course, not to small:
Kifflom112
Town sizes and density should vary. There should be your little bum or small historic towns - of which consist of mostly or entirely low density structures and have very low populations. Other towns should have quite a few medium density structures and population lurking around a thousand residents. And then I expect like one large town or as some call it, a bery small city. Quite a few skyscrapers(what were considered skyscrapers near the late 1800's, a few franchised businesses like a small Wal-Mart parody, and a few neighborhoods. I also expect a scenic town or two, maybe a small resort town in the northern mountain range. Or maybe a nice little tourest trap town abutting a lake, one with fancy shops and a few strip malls/outlets with some sort of Victorian architectural theme. I'm sure this place exists, I forgot it's name. It would be a rather interesting addition, though. In addition, incorperated communities towards the outskirts of Los Santos should be possible. Communities such as some nice suburbs with themes, a few places like Simi Valley, California. Places such as Malibu, California and/or Santa Barbara. I really hope they add those affluent towns along the beaches, particularly Malibu.
EvilFuture
I always liked going to all the towns like this, like the country places. It seems that places like this are already in GTA V according to this screenshot and what R* says. I would also like a second city like Los Santos but smaller, like a secondary city, but judging by the "Mapping Los Santos" topic, it doesn't look like there will be. RedShotBR
I'll take a guess: If Los Santos and the countryside aren't completely surrounded by water and have some road connection (like Shoreside Vale), there's a high chance that we'll see a parody of San Diego. Much smaller of course. Something like closed tools and army barricades.
gsbadreligion
I expect a lot tbh i mean rockstar said they enjoyed the country towns so i expect easter eggs, interiors, vibes(happy town, psycho killer town, ghost town, tourist town, hick town, etc.). Exploration is key in gta and i doubt they are making us wait 6 months for nothing. the town pictured with trevor looks pretty promising and the town was shown to be pretty biker/tough guy operated which i like. certain towns give off certain vibes, think gta iv where niko started out and then the small neighborhood with that one ferrari that was always up for grabs by that one italian mobsters house the guy that dimitri tricked you into killing(mods im not using spoilers the game has been out for over 4 years and this is a gta forum)
B_E_N_1992
Yes these places can be more easy to do crimes & get away with it.. e.g. kill someone with a silenced pistol without nobody seeing (no wanted level)

I'm hoping for Inside Track Betting offices so as you make the town more valid etc. Like the post above. I hope you can get away with more crime in small towns RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)
