acmilano
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_Vegas VC and VCS proves that Vice City/Miami could be quite enough for a GTA game so its almost certain that GTA:VI on PS4/X720 will be return to Vice, and for countryside they could always include entire state of Florida and even Bahamas. But what after that? With R* policy of keeping it in USA and reusing old cities only these two stays. So could they be enough for their own games and would you buy them if they are released? I loved Driver:SF and soon i planning to play Fallout:New Vegas so i am personnaly OK with that places. But Las Vegas is a city in the middle of desert so that wold exclude boats and missions on water that could be quite interesting like all older GTA games shows us. So maybe for this particular case would be better to have San Fierro/Las Venturas combo, and have two cities and countryside between them. Also maybe set in the 70's when those two cities were much more prominent. So what do you guys think? Could these two places get a chance again? GTAKid667
The direction Rockstar will take will be the same as GTA V and that is having San Fierro in one game and Las Venturas in a separate. The reason is because Rockstar will use technology to make advances in the map making each city a lot bigger than they were when they first appeared in GTA SA. Look at GTA V, Rockstar have majorly improve Los Santos by size and looks. Maybe a few years down the line Rockstar may release a full combo of LS, SF and LV again but it won't be until a next gen console can handle it (Yet they probably can now) The Chain Game
Andreas
Look at GTA V, Rockstar have majorly improve Los Santos by size and looks. Not only that, but GTA IV is around 6.25 square miles big and it looks a lot more like its real counterpart than GTA III or Liberty City Stories did. In case you don't know, Liberty City in the 3D-era was around 3 square miles big which is around 50% smaller than the map in GTA IV! If I would have to guess then I would say that Los Santos in GTA San Andreas was around 3 square miles big, perhaps even a bit smaller and we know from the news so far that Los Santos in GTA V will be bigger than Liberty City! Maybe a few years down the line Rockstar may release a full combo of LS, SF and LV again but it won't be until a next gen console can handle it (Yet they probably can now) The hardware is not a problem at all. In fact, even Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are capable of such big maps! As you know, Rockstar is somewhat obsessed when it comes to the small details in their games and that is basically the reason why the maps in their titles aren't much bigger than they are. Making even bigger maps would cost more time, well more time than it already does, and with the life and believability that their gameworlds usually have, more is not always better. In other words; a bigger map doesn't mean that the game makes more fun, nor does it mean that the replay value is substantially better. Rockstar definitely cares about the quality of their titles but they develope videogames because of the money. If it would take way too long and/or cost too much money to create a game that includes Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas, and all of them in HD and each of the cities look similar to their real counterparts, then Rockstar isn't going to develope a game like this. Rockstar said they would like to combine all gameworlds they have ever made in one game sometime in the future but the question would be if that will ever happen. I would love to see that but honestly, I don't expect it. I wasnt sure about the hardware to be honest, I thought current gen consoles could handle it but I was thinking about Rockstar adding Vehicles, Weapons, Activities and Missions on top would limit the space of a disc (like Xbox 360 has games on more than one DVD) In terms of one game with all maps, it would only be the HD Gen's maps wouldn't it. You can't have 3 LC'S (I,III+IV) so i don't know what they mean with all maps. If they did use HD era maps then Rockstar would have to create a new SF and LV but if they used III era I don't know how they would implement it into a game The Chain Game
