Carface80
1989 sedan Version http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=25068 1989 Station Wagon http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=25195 1985 Impala http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=25247 1986 Caprice http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=25250 1986 Caprice Brougham http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=25266 Already mentioned on my Ford LTD topic, but now its time to get its own thread I am doing a 1989 and 1986 Caprice and 1983-85 Impala. depending on the situation, possible a brougham model too.. Edit: the plate textures still borrowed from the ltd, ill fix it later. I made some subtle tweaks on both cars. I decided to use texture than polygon on impala grille to keep polygons lower. if things goes alright here's a bonus.... (Tough choice between the squire and this....) deathproofdodgefan
Suggest for a larger difference in 1987 from 1986, to make a complete set Brougham '1986 or Brougham '1987 Universal will be 1986 or 1987? Will you do different wheels for stock / police / taxi / wagon?

Will you do different wheels for stock / police / taxi / wagon? The brougham will get different seats and door panels as well (either a wire wheels or alloy) I have 2 set of hubcaps for caprice and impala. Due to time and polycount limitation (im squeezing the wagon in) ill the 86 and 89 interior are more likely identical. @roadrunner71 tough choice, but if things goes ok ill do the squire Edited March 18, 2013 by bigfoot2003
Carface80
The wagon is tougher than i thought. The rear door including its window frame and rear fender arc is slightly different from the sedan, once i got the light modeled, i spend some time getting the propertion right. I am starting to add wood grain trim. The model is a bit wonky...some lines are not properly straigthen.

Carface80
thanks everyone, here's more update im starting to uv map the body, i dont need to detatch meshes, instead i can strategically divide the uv and it automatically split the meshes once converted to zmod format. the only thing needs to be done are few interior parts and some exterior parts. Modeled the interior panels for brougham, and need to model a bench seat for impala. The wagon more likely to use brougham like wheels, i still have to model. Carface80
thanks everyone, I got sideline a bit with Bioshock infinite its fun game.... then I got some stomach flu, no fun. Now im feeling a bit better, back where I left of...doing the UV maps, its like eating the same food for 10 days in the row. I am dividing the interior, one half is can be multicoloured (1024X1024 res seats, trims etc), the other half is just static colours (512X512 res woodgrains, radio, switches etc) next screens are textured... Carface80
Getting it textured, whatever grayish colours can be multi coloured. The only parts needed to UV maps are the engine bay and under carriage. Edited April 15, 2013 by bigfoot2003

Carface80
@oldsmobile Thats one of the best scene! indeed, thats a cool idea. I realize lower line caprice still had chrome little side mirror instead of aero type. Wondering about those bumper stickers. @roadrunner sure, as soon I tweaked the uv a bit. Doing an old school NYPD livery is not easy with door uv maps not lined up properly. Anyway hard to find a font that match it.
Oldsmobile_85
Anyway hard to find a font that match it. NYPD used this font Eurostile

About those bumper stickers, were something of the movie, it looks like a preacher car lol. It does have too no smoking and some other kind of stickers in the rear bumper. Anyway hard to find a font that match it. NYPD used this font Eurostile I do have that font (Eurostyle BQ, which is the Bold/Heavy version), they also sometimes seems to use another font called Waukegan LDO Black, at least in other units and for other details (it's a more compressed version of the font). I could send you both fonts as well.
