Habs
There's a epic heist in the movie '' 3000 miles to Graceland '' I hope there's going to be a mission like the '' Elvis Heist '' in the movie... I saw this movie when I was in Republic, it was in spanish so I can't tell you what the whole story was about. There's a Michael & Franklin in a movie, just sayin! NikoBellic1993
Sam had said that he didn't watch that many movies or reality shows because he didn't want inspiration from them so the writing and story is completely original. No, he actually said he doesn't watch contemporary movies or tv shows . Old ones may still stand.
Jvmes
I'm thinking "Austin Powers in Goldmember" & "Heat". what other movies/t.v shows does V look likely to be based/influenced by?. Dan Houser stated that he watches no T.V. show or movie that may in any way influence GTA. So he is completely insulated from the pop culture spectrum? Come on, be serious! He makes videogames. Secondly, is GTA V the product of a one man team? No. This isn't a novel, there are tons of people with input.
Official General
I think what we learned from IV is that GTA is more fun when it's based on films. Everyone said their favourite mission is Three Leaf Clover, Rockstar acknowledged that. I loved VC at the time as I was watching Scarface for the first time. I loved all the references. San Andreas for all the hood movies and more etc. I slightly disagree with this. I liked all those movie references from the GTA III-era games like Vice City and San Andreas, because it perfectly blended in well with themes those two games were taking on at the time. But with this console generation of GTA, I very much would rather the games try their hardest to forge their own cinematic identities, and I think that was one thing GTA IV did very well. We talk and reminisce about all the characters from IV and the Episodes like we had seen them in some big gangster movie - yet there is no such movie to compare it too, because IV had it's own unique cinematic identity. I hope GTA V follows the same path as IV.
