GTA Advance was exclusively released for Gameboy Advanced, but it has characters that appeared in GTA III, and later then in GTA LCS. Chinatown Wars was released exclusively for Nitendo DS, PlayStation Portable, iPhone/iPod touch and iPad but apparently, it's part of the HD-era. Not that I want too much spoiled for me, I've waited this long without spontaneously combusting. Theyre all probably dead, anyway Probably dead? Not likely, if you're going with deal, Niko probably moved to Vice City or something. Revenge and he likely settled down. Johnny, maybe he killed himself, who knows. Luis is probably just living the good life all of the mess was over for him basically. They are obviously talking about a multitude of things. I think they said in the newswire they are talking map size. I must've missed that part. I still doubt the map is the ONLY thing they are talking about. They could be speaking in terms of innovation or features. Unless this Los Santos is going to be bigger than the GTA SA map (which I doubt), I would be a bit moronic to say its the biggest map, methinks. Also it has been confirmed that certain characters won't return. They said it is the size of IV, SA and RDR combined and this size makes up interiors, main land and the ocean. The game will be huge but not huge. But I think if someone is definitely going to cameo, its patrick mcreary. Don't you have an imagination? Rockstar makes you make up the reasons yourself Only III era characters are confirmed to be 'dead' in the HD era characters and therefore would never appear. I still don't know up to this point why R* didn't want previous IV protagonists to appear in V. Because they live on the other side of America, doing there own things. Not everything needs to be clogged up with cameos! Let this game entertain on its own without having to resort to cheap thrills like "Oh, I remember him from the other game! Cooooooooooooool!!!" Ergh. Niko, Johnny and Luis had their stories, lets tell some new ones shall we? It was already confirmed we'll see a familiar face or two, why does it have to the people that need NO FLESHING OUT WHATSOEVER!? Claude in GTA: SA was an amazing cameo to complete the circle of the III-era stories, for example. It wouldn't make much sense for most characters with heavily invested lives in Liberty City to suddenly be on the other coast, the story needs to make sense and not just in a 'I just kinda wanna be here' way or 'I needed to escape'. Now that I think of it, perhaps Michelle (or Karen) is good for a cameo. Her story didn't finish, did it? San Andreas had a sh*tload of Cameos from previous GTA's, and a big ass Map, i just dont get it really...wouldn't rockstar want to duplicate what they did in SA but even Better? it seems like it will be better but something feels left out, seems like to me that The Map will be like Red Dead Redemption,cool but really nothing to look for pretty self explanatory style... just speaking whats on my mind "duplicate what they did in SA but even Better" I don't think you understand how much time that would take. Yeah sure, SA is massive.. but it has no where near the detail of IV and V. To create 3 cities with the level of detail as Los Santos/Liberty City, it would take such a long time. Also, Rockstar does not want to create another SA, they want to create a new game, with a different layout, a different feeling and a different playing experience. I think the HD characters are dead by the time V comes out Why would HD-characters be dead when GTA V still belongs to the HD-era which is the same era as GTA IV, and the add-ons GTA TLaD and GTA TBoGT? If they don't appear in GTA V then it doesn't mean that they are 'dead', neither are 3D-era characters. It's just that they don't appear in the game, and 3D-era characters simply don't exist in the HD-era. It wasn't specified but I thought she might of been with the CIA equivalent (IAA) as she definitely wasn't in with the FIB. It also leaves the series with more avenues for the furture without repeatedly meeting the same people and going to the same places. The only even half plausible theory I could think of would be that since some of V's artwork shows them robbing a jewelry store, possible the diamonds in IV's story are somehow linked to Michael, Trevor and Franklin.. but being that V's set in the future from IV I don't really see that working. Jerry Kapowitz, the bum who ended up with the diamonds, is in trailer one. So is CJ, Tommy Vercetti and a flying saucer shooting bears that shoot laser beams out of there eyes.
