Do we know how old he really is? If he is under witness protection program and has false identity.

But it´s hard to say, genes and habits affect the way we look.

I don't like that in the artwork he looks way younger, and the blue eyes somehow don't fit with him.

No he was not. He was 35 years old. Not too young and definitely not too old.

We don't really know, all we know is that he has at least 35 years, he could have more, but not less than that.

Considering that he had to be at his 20s to work for the Mafia, and that he spent 15 years on the prison, of course. colgate.gif

@ Claudespeedrulez

Stop over-analyzing and over-speculating, the facts are facts. "Could have been", "we don't know for sure", bla bla bla.

Did you not bother to learn anything about the game when it came out ? Tommy Vercetti was definitely 35 years old in Vice City, I read it in the official Rockstar handbook of the game.

I could show you pictures of me and you'd say I'm 20 at the oldest. When in fact I'm 10 years older.

Everyone ages differently, as you said yourself.

If Michael looks like an early 40's guy? In trailer 1, yes. In trailer 2 and the very picture you posted:

no.

He looks older to me. Looks like late 40's, early 50's.

Then again, Niko Bellic looks way older than 30.

Back to Michael:

At first I didn't like it how he was an old man. Now I like the idea. It's really a different approach. We had young (Cj, Huang, Claude, Luis) to semi-old (Johnny, Tommy, Vic, Toni) protagonists.

And his age will contribute something essential to the recipe of GTA V. Franklin will be the young, hungry and ambitious guy at the ready, where Michael is the mastermind, brings knowledge and is so confident that he still wants to jump into the action himself, too.

I'm particularly curious about the relationship between Michael and Franklin. Trevor will be fun, too.

This. And I don't think he ll pass for an early 40s guy. R* want to vary the characters so there is at least one for everybody. I think they want to try selling their game to elderly persons, too, now. Not only for the younger generation like it has been in the past.

Wasn't Tommy Vercetti around 40?

He was a badass.

No he was not. He was 35 years old. Not too young and definitely not too old.

And there is more to a protagonist than just being a badass.

This is true. Tommy Vercetti is officially 35 years old. You can buy the official strategy guide for GTA Vice City. There are character profiles in it. It says Tommy Vercetti is 35 years old.

No need for apologies.

It's a freaking video game after all. Ezio Auditore is like 52 years old in Assassins Creed Revelations and he moves like in Assassins Creed 2 where he was in his early 20s, so, always keep in mind these are fictional video characters.

Somehow the age matters and somehow not, we'll see if Michael's age will bring in handicaps.

While Michael may look a little older, I'm psyched as f*ck to play as him. I'm pro-Trevor all the way, first impression was amazing as Rockstar needed a character that is balls to the walls psycho like we all are at heart. And I don't understand the Franklin hate at all. I'm stoked to play as Franklin and see his story and backstory. He seems like whatever he has been through has made him a cold person and left him always wanting more to prove something to himself. Taking to Michael as a father figure shows that he probably had parent issues which helped mould who he is but also that he will do pretty extreme things for his new "father" to gain praise or acceptance and still prove something to himself that wasn't there while he was growing up. In short, I love all the characters so far.
