I did not say an older guy could not be a successful criminal, I'm saying it don't look right if he has not retired by now, or at least have the position of a crime boss, which would mean there would be no point in having him as a GTA protagonist. I just don't like an older guy for a protagonist, end of

 

I don't give a sh*t if you don't like him, that's fine, your opinion, personally his face in some shots looks terrible, R* still sucks at making faces.

 

Anyway, there is probably a number of reasons he is not a crime boss, you know, maybe he was earlier on, hence the fancy house and such, but circumstances changed, he needed to get out, the FIB were onto him, he got a deal by snitching and got out clean, probably severing connections he had. Now he needs money and wants to go back to the thrill and has to start at the bottom again.

Each to their own, but if cleanliness is what matters to you in a GTA protag, it surprises me you are even a fan of the series in the first place.

Can't really seem to remember which interview or preview I read that bit from, you'll either have to turn on your siren and look for it yourself, or wait for someone who has the link.

I remember reading something along the lines of it taking place in just ONE of those years. I might have misread it though and it actually takes place during all 3 years, like you said. Hope someone can provide a link, because I hope your right.

 

A story like V's spanning 3 years sounds very interesting to me. If it's not true I'm sure it will still be great.

I don't understand why nobody likes the idea of controlling an older gentlemen as a main character; with gray chest hair.

Michael is not too old in GTA V and he doesn't look too old. I though Tony Soprano (or, you know, the actor playing him) was older in the tv series but in season 1 he was only 40, so if Tony Soprano was a bit of a fat guy in his early 40s Michael is definitely alright as a 40-something year old. Just in better shape and better aged than Tony Soprano

And yes, I know GTA V shouldn't be compared to The Sopranos often, but this is just the age of the main characters

Apology more than accepted my friend . I realise that initial judgement on statements can be heavily misinterpreted when exchanging something supposedly so heated (I myself am guilty of this crime).

 

I just couldn't comprehend your dislike for Trevor from the reasons you gave as being anything substantial. But then again, I just have to keep reminding myself it's all down to first impressions and matter of opinion.

 

But it's all good my man! Let's just thank R* for giving us something we can all relate to. Personally. I'm looking forward to all three of our protags stories and playability, as it gives us something so greatly diverse and unique to get sucked into.
