The Scottish Guy
Seeing as this is St Patricks Day, I only found it fitting to create a thread for fans of my favourite vicar - although this show may not be well known outside Ireland and the UK. My family loved this show when I was growing up, and I still like to watch it from time to time on More4. Never gets old and is definitely up there with the most hilarious shows of all time for me, and who could forget the Christmas special! Father Jack: What a legend! R.I.P. Mister Pink
Irish or not, I definitely think it's one of the greatest comedies on TV ever. I wonder if anyone watches it in the US and do they appreciate the humour. Edited March 18, 2013 by ThePinkFloydSound RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)
Roflkon
I agree although i don't think they'd get it as much as it's the kind of humour only those in the UK and Ireland can understand as a lot of the comedy comes from the fact that it reminds us of home in way. I've seen every episode ever at least 5 times and it still makes me laugh. So sad that he died, he was a comedy legend
Ziggy455
I grew up watching this show with my nan -who was a strong Irish lass- and we'd cry for a good thirty minutes over this hilarious show. Such nostalgia, I love watching it on More4. "I might have laughed if I'd have remembered how."
SIKKS66
Nuns! Nuns! Reverse! Reverse! Reverse! Favourite ep has to be the famed Christmas episode. When the priests got lost in what I understand is Ireland's biggest laaarngerie department.

They'll only try to make one themselves, except it will be "Pastor Bob" and lose all comedy in the process.
The Scottish Guy
They'll only try to make one themselves, except it will be "Pastor Bob" Just out of curiosity, do Irish folks actually use "feck" as a form of profanity? I actually started using it among my circle thanks to Father Ted, and it actually created quite a small fad around my home town! But it has since died down. GTA_stu
I absolutely love Father Ted, one of my all time favourite shows. Edited March 24, 2013 by GTA_stu
Straznicy
One of my favourite shows ever, still watch it religiously. So many moments and characters that make you laugh even just thinking about them. Father Romeo Cencini. Those Protestants, up to no good as usual. The milk float... @The Scottish Guy: Yeah, they do. My nana uses 'feck' like punctuation, but skelps anyone who dares put a 'u' in place of the 'e'.
