Travís.
I think while you're driving around the city, there should be random road constructions going on, I don't mean very often, but sometimes. and if the traffic is backed up for a long period of time people start getting angry and road rage. rare.steak
Like that construction site on the road in IV. I wonder if this could be randomly generated on various roads in V. If R* could pull that off, and render textures correctly as they load. Not necessarily the whole road, though, maybe just a lane or two.
GoldenBlade
Like that construction site on the road in IV. Which one? They're not very fun when you suddenly approach one while going full speed in an Infernus or Turismo. It adds to the realism, but it's annoying at times. Ben73
Yeah if it's random every now and then. Like I would want to come across a random new one once ever 2-3 hours of game play. I don't want to see a new one every 15 minutes.
aaronimpact
I hated that construction site that has the crane not far from Star Junction on the 2nd Island. You had to go around it.

Fuzz_ball
Only thing I can see might be a down fall, is how the systems will handle a randomization of big objects as well alter the AI path. It is a interesting idea tho
toybasher
I'm thinking more like Left 4 Dead 2's AI director http://left4dead.wikia.com/wiki/The_Director For example, have 100 or so preset areas where a construction zone could be, and each day (and each time the game is booted) the zones cycle. IE day 1 Zone 5, 66, and 4 could have work being done, and the next day those areas are gone but now zone 3, 53, and 30 have construction work. Doing this would be easier to code I think, rather then having it completely dynamic and random. I'd still perfer it be completely random through. John Footpenis
Saint's Row The Third had this and it didn't turn out too well. The workers just stood there and didn't really do anything. Also, you could drive around the corner and the site would be gone as soon as you came back. I don't know if this was lazy development or technical limitations but I'd hope that R* only try it if they can do it right.

nic_23
I like the one guys idea of maybe a lane being coned off in the road and some guys with pneumatic drills digging up a bit of road and there is a small hole in the road. then when you leave the area and go back to that spot later its back to normal. Jordan_Philip
I cant believe that construction in Algonquin is still going on 5 years later! The nerve of these state employees!
K20
hated those skips.... they just didnt move, no matter how hard i crashed into them.. on the plus side... i generally liked crashing into the road work cordon and signs.... made a small mess of things. Rockbottomsville
Why does it matter if theres construction going on, on the side of the road how is that going to change or make the game better?

Ash_735
Saints Row The Third had this feature, so by GTAForums logic, GTAV can't have it as it would be copying pure runny sh*t!
SnowWolve
I like to see more of i,maybe every 45 minutes your driving around and theres mini construction going on up the street.I like when the pedestrians road rage and then they get into fights lol. ASNAEB
I think this would be an amazing random encounter, a dynamic thing that sometimes occur in the city. Putting up road construction totally fits in the world, the city will be huge and road constructions make sense. It's a small idea but I think it's totally worth putting in. Other than a road construction there should also be other of these random encounters/events. This could make the world feel much more alive. They also don't need to be permanent, I loved the idea of progressing construction since GTA III, but construction sites were always static. universetwisters
if the traffic is backed up for a long period of time people start getting angry and road rage. I can imagine random construction on highways, leading to "Falling Down"-esque traffic jams. But for construction on minor, little roads, I think I'll pass. RedShotBR
They did this in Saints Row 3 too. So annoying! I was almost flying on my car just for that stupid truck to spawn outta nowhere and wreck my ride! However, the idea itself is a good one. Just give some early signal of an ongoing construction, like a traffic jam building itself or "detour" signs scattered on the sidewalks.
