Information

Keys to Liberty is a PS3 event in Own the City mode on LaD:MP. 4 teams fight it out against each other as they try to claim most points and thus win the event. Teams are Broker, Bohan, Algonquin and Alderney. We hate Dukes, so it's not included, because f*ck Dukes. Individual awards will be presented to the winners at the end of the event! Taking screenshots is very important for this event! Teams will be decided by the draw after the sign-up is finished. They will be drawn randomly to par the skill level, low, medium or high. Minimum of 3 people in each team, total of 12 so the event can begin; Ideally, 5 people per team would be good. Maximum of 8 people per team obviously. After 3 fixtures set on 3 different islands and the final points table, knockout fixtures are played in Alderney. 1st placed faces 4th placed, and 2nd placed faces 3rd placed. Winners of the two advance to the final. If the ending result is a tie 6:6 in any knockout fixtures, lower placed team after the league stage is through and/or wins. Winners of the 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd will play each other in the final, losers will fight for the 3rd place.

 

Scoring

Each game is played for 20 minutes. Depending on the final score, points are awarded and range from 1 to 10. Extra 1 points are awarded for the team with most kills, and another extra 1 for the team with the person who has most turfs gained. If both teams have a person with the same amount of top turfs, they both get the extra 1 points, same goes for the kills. Scoring example: If the game ended 100-0, points are awarded 10-0, if it's 50-50, then points are awarded 5-5, if it's 75-25 then 7.5-2.5, if it's 87-13, then 8.7-1.3. Extra 1.5 points for the team with most total turf captures after 3 league fixtures as well! If two teams have the same number, they both get the extra points.

 

Settings

 

Tips

Always have your Keeper stay at your home turf to keep you in the loop. Roam around the territory, your opponents cannot gain it if they haven't killed everyone in it - that includes you! Have your enforcer away stay near the action, so he can clear the path faster for the turf gaining. Don't leave your bike if you're defending, nor when attacking. Do try to switch to a vehicle if you see a faster one. Use the gang vehicle to equip yourself with more ammo if you run out of it while defending. Have your enforcer just fight for new turfs and constantly be a killer. Have your keeper constantly keep the starting territory. Have your leader and all rounders split up around the map, attacking new turfs and protecting current ones. Never give up, constantly fight, each point is important, and can be crucial.

Edit: quick suggestion, instead of a golden desert eagle for killing the most, a golden sawn-off shotgun would be more apt.

Thanks to everyone who signed up so far!

 

10 people are signed up so far, 12 is the minimum needed so we start, however, a 4v4 would be better, and a 5v5 would be ideal, so i'm hoping to see some more folks gather up.

Draw will be made based on skill level again!

 

Yeah, i'll change that award i guess for a golden shotgun, though, it doesn't matter that much lol.

 

Now the thing that Reaper said however, 60-80%, i have been thinking about that before starting the event, and i'm unsure, so would like some help and suggs. 60 i'm not exactly sure if it's that short, but then again, it could end up short...For 80..it could be a bit of a hard task especially if we get balanced teams..

I played a game on Bohan with 40% with total newbs, and it was over in less than two minutes.

 

 

That being said, I usually find this mode more enjoyable with a Time Limit instead.

It'll be either 60 or 80%, it won't be timed. Timed can end a draw, don't want that in this event.

So far most people wish 80%, so i think that's how most likely it's gonna be, but i'd still feel a bit afraid that it isn't too long or hard to achieve. Then again 60 might feel too short...though if we make the teams balanced, then maybe it won't...Uuurgh why isn't there 70% option.

 

We could do a quick demo/warm-up game 15 mins before fixture 1 to determine whether 60% or 80% will be good, and then we will decide and do the matches then. How's that maybe?

Actually i had another idea overnight(lol) which would be a good mix of Reapers suggestions and aj's. Will post it later tonight, think i found a perfect solution for the scoring/length.

Just because I am "Medium" doesn't mean I have the exact same skill level as them. To me, "low" is illiterate moron who dies in EVERY gunfight against ANYONE, plays with auto aim, can't drive for sh*t etc.

 

Medium is "quite good" to me, which means balanced in both or slightly better in one field than another. ie. decent shooter, good driver. Or amazing shooter but rubbish driver.

 

"High" is "very good" and balanced in every field with a high level of skill. Atm the only people I've seen with this are Muffin, Enjoi and a few others.

 

So when I say "medium" I don't mean amazing shooting, the ones you listed are either better or same as me. In terms of driving though, which is fairly important in "Own The City" along with many other game modes, I don't mean to toot my own horn or sound arrogant, but I am better, as evidenced in the racing leagues etc. Again, the ones who have beat me more than once and by skill, not chance, are the ones I mentioned above - Muffin, Enjoi and a few others.

 

To clear things up, in shooting, no, I am not as good as Muffin, Vice, Reaper etc. I stand a small chance against them though. In driving though, the only listed Medium that beat me in a race is Muffin which is why I think he should be "High" and not "Medium". I imagine vice is better than I've seen, but he's always drunk which hinders his driving.
