I completed all Secondary Quest, Main Story and got the good ending today.

 

If there will be Saints Row V, I hope they will do the time-travel. Maybe the story would be making the alien invasion never happen or make the Earth never blow up. It could be fun. I just don't want Steelport or Stilwater.

I believe SRIV is the last SR game. I still want to see SR on the PS3.

Actually, they have said in the past this is the last "whacky" Saints Row. The next in the series (most likely a reboot) will "go in a different direction".

 

Personally, I hope that means no childish cartoony garbage like in The Third and IV.

any news on the mod tools promised for the pc version? I was thinking of waiting until the game lowered in price or the mod tools were released before buying it.

Rented it, played it for two hours, returned it. It seems I can´t get into this franchise, I liked SR and SR II, but I can´t handle this anymore. All in this game is just so f*cking stupid and meaningless that bothers me.

 

I have zero interest in any story coming from Volition, so I put my hopes in gameplay...really dissapointing too. I don´t even find it fun or whatever. SR has become a f*cking caricature, and now it´s vastly inferior to the rest of open world games. Simply not worth it.

I'll admit 3 was garbage since it was a jumbled mess and was extremely lazy. IV isn't either of those.

 

@Nateshaw: Probably not, since the levels are tied to the save. You can probably use him if someone else hosts. Sucks that you can't replay missions, unless you start a new save.(That's pretty much my biggest problem with IV)

I bought SRTT back in 2011 (later sold it to a friend) and watched IV on YouTube. No, I don't think they need to be "dark and mature", but it literally looks like it was made by a 12yo who spouts internet memes all day and thinks he's funny. It tries entirely too hard to be funny. The game and game developers themselves pride themselves on dressing up in some furry costume and smacking people with a dildo bat. I don't see how that's NOT childish.

 

However, that's just my opinion. If you enjoy that stuff, I'm not going to stop or attempt to stop you from enjoying it.

If they don't bring back Earth using the time travel in the next game I'll be severely annoyed - it'll make the events of all the previous games entirely pointless to me. However I'm expecting time travel shenanigans on the way - how about riding dinosaurs or something?

They told about having a fifth installment planned as early as upon The Third's release, right?

Interesting. I'd love to see SR remade on the PS3, but I doubt it would happen.

Its amazing how mature people act, sw4 was good game way better then the thrid, really funny and epic, i just cant understand why you gotta compare two diffeent games " which is better " lol they aint made by the same company so it shouldnt even matter, if rockstarade another gta like game called it somethig else then yeah theres a problem but another company made a superhero free roam kill everyone game with aliens and they are still trying to be like gta lol i cant wait for gta in my mind its the game ive seen( and i havent played it just by wtahcing an reading about it has already in my mind made it the best game to be out) but then sw4 damn thats just one hell of a game could of been beter but for what it was was amazing to amazing games by two diffrent companys getting bitched about by the same gamers.
