Secura
Volition could have stayed with Killbane nuking Stilwater and then blowing sh*t up. I have no idea how that would work given the context of the game. I do like the fact that Volition completely negated both endings of Saints Row: The Third and decided to go all AU on us. So chances are they made that Gangsta's in Space movie between the end of SR3 and and just before SR4. Then they decided to kill someone and get their chance at the presidency. If I remember correctly (and I most likely don't) but wasn't Cyrus Temple killed in both endings of SR3 or was he just deposed of his position? I'm sure I remember killing him under the statue of Joe Magarac though I could be wrong.

It doesn't mention what happens to him afterwards, but with SR4 we know. Formerly known as The General
WildBrick142
^STAG was disbanded after everyone found out that they tried to blow up the statue. Anyway, if you get Saints & Sensibility achievement, do you still get The Imperator achievement?
Lock n' Stock
I will be buying this game tomorrow when it releases in Europe, Angry Joe's review has helped me make a decision even though my expectations were very low at first. I know it looks visually similar to SR3, but it has too much new content to be classified as a "DLC". I just want something to hold me over until GTA V comes out. It should provide a good amount of explosive and brainless fun to enjoy.
Corndawg93
So I today went to my local EB games to see how much to preorder the game is and he said the game on PS3 will come out in the 12th, I asked him if that's true so he check his computer as it said the 12th. Rebel
I couldn't help myself in the end and bought it for the PC. I have to say I'm only literally 4 missions in but I'm really enjoying it. The super powers you get at the start are taking me awhile to figure out. As in, how to sprint and use that jump at the right moment haha. I also noticed they added in more clothing and cars - not a lot, but its a nice change.
Lock n' Stock
Playing it right now. I'm fairly enjoying it and regret all the things I said about it before release. It's not wise to judge a game completely before it's release. Edited August 23, 2013 by Gst0395

Mr Rabbit
Yeah I'm playing mine too, where the hell do I get my Commander In Chief edition goodies? i think it is jsut there cos when I got it they said they only had the CiC edition left, so maybe there are 2 sets of discs, one with the content locked one unlocked. I definitely got one code for season pass and that is it
WildBrick142
I got the game this morning and I'm almost halfway through the story. I got the Commander in Chief edition and I didn't even preorder the game.
Lock n' Stock
I have been playing the game for several hours now, and my thoughts are mostly positive. Although the mechanics are virtually identical to Saints Row: The Third, there's just about enough new content to make it stand out as an entirely new game rather than a DLC. I've not been playing through the story much as I want to make the most out of exploring the city and doing the activities as well. The story feels larger in scale and more well-written than Saints Row 3, with a good sci-fi comedy storyline they've got going on. Regarding the soundtrack, the only station I listen to is The Mix 107.77 as with Saints Row 2 and 3. While The Mix in SR4 has a great selection of rock and pop songs from the 80s and 90s, it is ruined by the unnecessary hip-hop they put in like in SR3. I don't know about you, but I don't want hip-hop mixed in with my rock tracks. They should have kept them on K-Rhyme instead, considering alot of rock fans don't even like hip-hop. I especially hate that "Oh Sh*t" song that they put in. Other than that though, The Mix mostly has a good selection of tracks. Overall, it's not a masterpiece but does provide a good amount of mindless entertainment. It is recommended if you liked Saints Row 3, though I don't know if Saints Row 2 fans will like it quite as much. I'll also state that it is VASTLY different to GTA and should NOT be compared to it whatever. At this point, the only similarities between GTA and SR is that they're both city-based sandbox games with shooting and driving, but nothing more. Mr. Reaper.
So, is this game anyone good? I loved the first, and the second, the third felt to clunky, how is this in comparison?
MadMugen
So, is this game anyone good? I loved the first, and the second, the third felt to clunky, how is this in comparison? Honestly the game is ok. If you loved SR3 then you will like this game. If you loved SR and/or SR2 then either you should rent the game or wait until its cheaper. ll rdny ll
i know this sounds stupid, but what if this is all just a dream and the boss is in that coma? It's possible that the game will go to it's 'original' roots. While the whole Alien Abduction/Matrix Storyline isn't super realistic. This story does seem a whole lot more 'grounded' than SRTT did. IV kind of 'rounds out' 3's outrageousness, if you look at SR3 and SR4 as two parts of one game/story, both games are actually really good (this is a theory, I'll be playing through the whole series after I 1000 SR4. Edit: Kinda forgot to get to why I quoted this. I think they were trying to take a different direction with SR3. But they took their turn too sharp and as a result, a lot of die-hard fans jumped ship. With SR4, they grabbed ahold of the wheel and tried their best to correct the course. I think they succeeded. SR5 will probably be a little less balls-to-the-wall than IV was, but it will still have it's moments and who's to say that's a bad thing? Rebel
I've still not played a lot of the story, but I'm really enjoying it. Better than the third. Although I do have one complaint. Whenever I go into a rim jobs and try and change my paint colour I can only put it as paint type Matt. For some reason it doesn't let me click the other different types of paint like gloss and stuff. I'm playing on a controller and even when I tried it with just my keyboard & mouse it still didn't work. Is this a bug/glitch or is it just me? I went to "Image as Designed" to change my character. I changed my facial hair and when I selected a color I could only select black color. Nothing else. It also froze the menu, but not the game and I couldn't do anything. No controller or keyboard and mouse buttons were working for me. Good thing I was playing COOP and my friend literally kicked/punched me out of the menu. I'm also playing with a controller on PC. Original Light
I personally found Saints Row 2 brilliant, and to be the best game in the SR series. I'm somewhat hesitant to getting Saints Row IV. Is it worth buying? I was also wondering if Saints Row is going to continue getting crazier and crazier, or if it will return to its more mature roots, like Saints Row 2. Did the developers say anything about where they want to go with this franchise? I haven't been reading too much into it, and some help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Nick
Pat
f*ck that's one sh*tty glitch then. Is there any word on a fix for it or anything? Hit A with Matte selected, and when it asks you to confirm it, hit B. You'll then be able to scroll through the different types of paintjobs.
