I really like this mod your working on. I downloaded an earlier version, the one released on the 22nd and noticed the emergency vehicle bug. I also noticed peds didn't spawn into the game very often in front of you, mostly behind you but cars seemed to spawn in just fine. So I tried the newest release you have up. Emergency vehicles work fine now but I get the opposite for peds and cars spawning. Now peds spawn in just fine but cars are very few as you ride around. If I stop and stand somewhere I actually haven't seen a single car go buy in 15 minutes. Keep up the great work on this.

It's working without any major bugs like flying buildings only that way. I don't know if i'll be able to center the hud and player.

It worked, although some non-lod objects (like the grass fence near the bridge on Grove Street) also have their draw distance reduced. And it looks weird without the buildings on the distance, but oh well, it's better than the flashing objects.

I think so too. Some limit needs to be hacked, i guess.

 

I've done everything i could for Max Payne:

It's playable, hud stretched on purpose. Only issue is the graphic artifacts on the left an right sides of the screen appearing sometimes. And i didn't test it with other resolutions besides 1280x720 yet.

It leaves the blips at the correct locations.

The blips get dragged to another location. In the end, they all get dragged to the border of the map.

I noticed that too, and i'm also having some pause/menu related problems.

Sometimes when i load up my savegame the mouse doesn't respond, most of the time pressing Esc. will fix it but sometimes it continues to not respond in the menu too.

I have to go in and out of the menu multiple times for it to start working again and 1/3 of the time it happens the game locks up as soon as i try to exit the menu.

I'm not a 100% sure it's this mod that's causing it but most of the other mods i'm using are just simple Cleo scripts, so i don't think those have anything to do with it.

Unfortunately I found another bug.

Does it happen in singleplayer? I need to repeat that bug, but i don't want to install any mp mods.

Meanwhile, i've uploaded an alpha version of Max Payne widescreen fix, check it out in a first post. Because of graphic bugs i think there's no point to continue the development. *goes to check hard drive for other games with widescreen issues*

The latest version (.dll dates 3/31/2013) of SA:Lite gives me flashing objects/trees.

 

3/29/2013 works fine, it doesn't have the flash; but it had that bug on the sides of the screens when going fast in a car.

 

Seems like one bug disappeared, and a new one appeared.

 

I play @ 1680*1050. I used to play @ 1920*1080, with Ryosukes mod; but someone here said that it makes you crash randomly; so I've stopped using it.

 

One of you, SilentPL or ThirteenAG; said they 'fixed' the coronas .. Does this make this mod redundant now? : http://dk22pac.blogspot.co.nz/2012/07/prop...idescreens.html

 

Also, someone to adjust the Zone/Town script (original by Wesser) to be compatible with this Radar?

Why don't you install multipatch? I've uploaded it to WSGF. It can load another d3d9.dll through ini.

Ever thought of doing a NFS: Most Wanted widescreen fix?

 

I'm talking about the 2005 game and not the one that was released recently.

 

The game has utter bad widescreen support, from not natively supporting 16:9 and 16:10 resolutions (although you can use those resolutions with a tool/hack) to not getting proper Hor+ widescreen (depending on the tool you can get widescreen resolutions working but you won't get proper Hor+ FOV you will get a zoomed in widescreen style that resembles vanilla SA widescreen style, though there are some other tools out there that actually give you a proper widescreen FOV) and of course the other problem no one was able to fix yet is that the HUD will be stretched no matter what and will remain to be huge even on very high resolutions.

NFS MW one of my favorite games, so there is a possibility. The plan is to finish the Max Payne 2 fix first, then i will take a look at Max Payne again, and then...not sure yet.

Anyways, i have a great progress:

Sorry for OT, but both Max Payne 1 and 2 don't work on AMD graphics cards with newer drivers, has anyone got a fix for that?

First post was also updated. Unfortunately there's a small bug with the player's shadow, it doesn't fit correctly on widescreen resolutions. Nothing i can do.

I would appreciate it if someone test it and get me the results smile.gif

No, not yet. But can you try this version: http://www.sendspace.com/file/q9ii60 and confirm it doesn't have that bug? I disabled sky fix, just wanna to make sure it causes the problem.

I still get flashing textures with this one. So, it's not the sky fix.

Offtopic noob question:

How exactly can I activate a second dll with your "Multipatch" for SA? I want to use sweetfx with it, so I installed multipatch, changed sweetfx's d3d9.dll to "d3d9_sfx.dll", checked the ini and inserted it in the "other_dll=" bit, but to no success. SA won't start.

Multipatch works perfectly with no other dll loaded, but everytime I try to load one (even trying different names) it just doesn't start. confused.gif

Doesn't work for me either. SA just won't start at all. This is trying to load ENB 0.076 dll (renamed to d3d9_1st.dll). Renamed it to other things and didn't work.

Also tried it without loading any other .dll, and still wouldn't start.

 

Are you the author of this?
