You sure this downgrader compatible with current steam version? Try this one - http://gtaforums.com/topic/753764-relsasteam-downgrader/

I tried your version, but the old save files don't work with it...

Known Issues

There are a few minor issues that come with downgrading, however all can be fixed/prevented.

  • Saved games from Steam copies won't work. You'll need to either convert them using this tool or use a Steam SCM and SilentPatch.

I know that. I had the 1.0 save file, not the Steam version. So I just recently solved the problem myself: I downgraded the save file by using GTA SA Save Game Editor. They're both 1.0 but somehow they are different. Weird.

Anyway, the game folder is a f*cking mess now, and all thanks to the f*cking update by Rockstar.

Just throw ASI mods inside scripts folder.

And next time just check PCGW

Also what's up the the intro text? Did War Drum use different font? Could the PC one be unstretched at least? Or is it texture like in Vice City?

Well, haven't looked into this. Make sure you'll duplicate new bug reports at github, so they would be not forgotten by any reason.

Sure.

  • 5 weeks later...

Seems like R* is their mentors when it comes to remastering.

Can you also make widescreen fixes for following games?

Call of Duty 1

Call of Duty 1: United Offensive

Call of Duty 2

Half Life 1

Counter Strike 1.6

Just asking. :)

Of all these games, cs may be the only one really lacking a true option.

The fact is though that it's VAC protected too. And I don't know if an injector couldn't be seen as a cheat (there are possibilities it couldn't too.)

So I guess you would have better bump this instead (or one of these)

All of these games support WS in one way or another. CS doesn't allow custom FoV IIRC.

All Valve Goldsrc games were updated 2 years ago with widescreen support, so no need for those at all. (Steam version, if you have retail just activate your copy there)

Just a small request (if it is even possible, because everywhere i looked it says "can't be done"): Widescreen/FOV-fix for Bioshock2 Multiplayer.

Afaik bioshoch 2 has hor+ widescreen behavior since patch 1.02. And this would be already enough to not need fixes usually...

Furthermore, game is already supported in flawless widescreen

Someone probably remembers that the fix for Max Payne 2 doesn't work on some systems, so I was trying to find more reliable solution. Also tried to use the same method from MP1, but the result was not good. Anyway, I made some changes in the code and it works a bit different now, and I need you guys to test it:

You'll not get a correct proportions with this, but if the image will be slightly vertically stretched, then it works fine.

Did you miss the word "Multiplayer" in my message? I think you did :)

I'm aware of fixes for "Singleplayer". "Multiplayer" is a different story, sadly.

I think "doors bug" is fixed: http://imgur.com/1SS590G (7mb gif)

X_LevelRuntimeCamera::updateVisibility in X_GameObjectsMFC.dll is responsible for that.

I'm not up for that. Edited by ThirteenAG

Using nvidia DSR on SA (less resource hog than AA) the game always reset to the default monitor resolution at startup.

Have been playing GTAs with it for a long time and it works great most of the time. Just a suggestion, in III/VC, maybe you should move the radar ring a little bit to the right, so it would have the same distance to the left edge of the screen as to the bottom one, just like in SA.

And fix III's menu

Max Payne 2 fix updated, should work for everyone now, there were reports that it doesn't. Fixed graphic corruption inside doorways. Though there's a similar issue with mirrors, but I haven't found a solution for that.

Mirrors? What exactly do they do? No reflection?

No, the image will be broken if the mirror is on the screen side. And even if it's not, the objects in the mirror slightly misplaced. Weird stuff, I might take a look again, but not sure if it's fixable.

I've received some bug reports regarding MP2 fix, all of them were fixed, newest version released and available on github. Mirrors bug still there, but it's a minor issue.

Just a little question. Why are you including the .pdb file? Isn't it some debug stuff not used by the fix itself?
