Probably because of increased FOV, i might add fov customization setting to the ini file in the future. Maybe.

So How did I fix that problem? I don't see another people with the same drawback :/

Could you fix rectangular HUD when using Widescreen fix?

I am using Proper Widescreen Fix right now,but it definitely needs this one.

I want the radar to look like that.

Thank you!

Hi all, i'm finally get back to work on widescreen fixes again. And i need your help.

I'm gonna pick one fix from the list and you tell me what i should fix/improve/add in it.

GTA1, GTA2 and SRS(unfinished) fixes were most recent, so no need to do anything with them yet. ColdFear and True Crime fixes was in to do list, i'm not sure i'm gonna make fixes for them, but the time will tell. All other fixes is gonna be refactored.

So, currently i started with Manhunt, give me your feedback please!

As mentioned before you should add some sort of fov option so you can control how far away are you from the player.

You got it! Can you try the newest version and test it - http://www.sendspace.com/file/rrlpje ?

I added an ini file to overwrite FOV value and also disabled aspect ratio switch in the menu, so game proportions will be always correct.

Btw, there's no gamepad support in this game, right?

As I mentioned a few months ago, a GTA 3 and Vice City widescreen fix version for SilentPatch. :D

GTA fixes is too big, i'll manage other games first. Edited by ThirteenAG

No it doesn't have a gamepad support. I'll test in in a minute.

Works for me. FoV does exactly what I wanted and overriding the menu switch saves some time.

Have you ever figured out how to fix the MP game that had lod issues or something? I think it was second one.

Thanks for your tests, i hope there's no issues left in the manhunt fix. I'm gonna add DMC3, Fahrenheit and Flatout fixes to this project first, and then i'll try to look at max payne code again. There's a lot of code which needs to be rewritten, so a new code will require some tests too :)

I must say this is the best mod ever made and I was waiting so long time for a mod that give the gta games good widescreen hor+ support with not stretched hud. But what I do not understand is why do you not convert the stretched images to 1:1 original image proportion ratio. If you look at the comparison screenshots - and in the game - you can definitely see the radar is thinner then original and the hud is not 100 % 1:1 ratio. Sorry for that but I am a perfectionist haha. It would be awesome if you can change the images in the next version to original 4:3 1:1 ratio to make this mod perfect. I think it is really not a big thing for you.

Most of the fixes were updated, i'll upload them for testing soon. Also, i accidentally fixed image stretching in GUN:

(Original -> WidescreenFix -> WSF with hud fix option)

Okay, it's testing time: http://www.sendspace.com/file/4xqklz

All fixes that were updated in this archive. Uninstall previous fixes first, because i changed some names and they're not in 'scripts' folder mostly. Let me know if there's any issues, especially in max payne 1-2(except graphic glithes ofc).

Thanks for the tests, but that's the best i can do. In some of them it's very playable without speedometer and looks kinda cool. Anyway, i will change the default value to 0 for hud_patch in the release.

Can you fix the Loading bar in GTA SA.

Anyway I Love this mod

Probably not, since fix from Wesser is much better and i don't wanna to continue my 'lite' version. But i want to have my hud proportions in Wesser's fix, so i'll see what i can do. Edited by ThirteenAG

This is exactly what I want. Wessers fix is better but I like the proportions in your "lite version".

That's why I'm still using your "lite version". A mixed version would be nice. :)

Yeah Lite version's proportions are much better, because they are smaller than Wesse's and because they are same like in VC and 3 WS fix

Please.... This would be awesome since the Hud from Wesser´s fix is too big for 16:9

WSHPS proportions and FOV are PROPER. They are not precalculated using predefined constants, but they are retrieved on the fly according to the current screen resolution. It builds them automatically without manually giving support for a specific resolution and it actually fixes the original proportions of 4:3 resolutions aswell. You may find them WEIRD because of the habit of playing with @ThirteenAG's SA Widescreen Fix Lite. Judge yourself these comparisons (forget the radar scale):

WSHPS 4:3

SA Non Widescreen Lite 4:3

WSHPS 16:9

SA Widescreen Lite 16:9

I apologize if it sounds like I hijacked your thread, mate. I remember I have also donated you the code WSHPS uses to calculate proportions and FOV before its release. :^: Anyways, considering how many people like your fix more, you should really think on an improvement, maybe by making good use of the screenshots I provided too. :p

I guess it's more about just making the HUD smaller like modern games tend to do rather than if calculations are 'proper' ot not.

EDIT:

Random fact, now you're doing exact same thing I (according to you) tend to do :p

Yeah, no argue with that, i was going to ask you in pm about adding the ability to rescale certain elements, and since i'm not aware of your plans regarding wshps, i thought i could do it by myself some day, with your permission of course. But right now i'm not sure about anything, so i was saving this conversation until 3/vc fix update is done.

Nah, i don't like my fix anymore :) I also like the idea of fixing menu stuff in gta3 and vice city, it's very good looking in SA.
