SkyUI was the first thing that came to my mind the first time i saw this, but without SkyUI the problem is still there.

In the other hand, using the old or original fix, with or without SkyUI, the bug doesn't appear.

I have a problem, when I enter a minigame (Arcade, Inside Track Betting ...) the screen is cut by looking at 4: 3 but at the sides you can see the hud and part of the game or in some games like Duality or Inside Track Betting letting see the textures loading is there any way to solve it?

And sorry if this been asked before.

I noticed this because recently I started enjoying storyline of SA, again.

just use asi from here.

Also, the frontend textures aspect ratio setting is missing from those dev builds:

FrontendAspectRatio = auto // This setting is used to properly scale frontend textures, such as menu background or loading screens(auto|16:9|1:1|*:*).

I don't know if this is already known but the text box like ‛muscle +' looks weird, the plus sign is placed too far.

Also the new build looks like is not compatible fully with mobile hud by Dk22pac.

For example the Widescreen Fix prevents the size change of text boxes when the size of boxes is edited through mobilehud.dat

Keeping constant compatibility with other plugins it's quite impossible.

I got more stuff reported, even old cleo mods may be incompatible or display incorrectly,

but I think some of these mods need to get updated in order to work correctly with new versions of this widescreen fix.

For some reason editing the config file like the radar is not taking any effect, no matter which value I use, ingame it stays the same.

I had to reinstall W7 and added gta_sa.exe in DEP to fix the BEX error. Before reinstall all worked fine but now... and I also copied the gta sa folder before the reinstall so nothin is changed in the game folder.

My radar also looks like an egg, not kidding. I have no idea if it has something to do with the reinstall of my Windows7 but I made sure to install the needed VC++ and Framenetwork. I'd like to keep the borders in cutscenes because nostalgia but not working too.

 

Any fix for the radar?:

not sure if this is known, but in VC if the radar is disabled from the settings menu, the FOV doesn't increase when driving at high speeds

For some odd and unknown reason, I had to move the .asi files to the directory where the .EXE is. Before the Windows reinstall, the .asi files were in modloader and working and after the reinstall, it decided to have to be in root folder. Beats me why and the whole GTA SA folder was copied to external HDD. I'm using the version from the first post.

Thanks to recent contributions by _𝓐𝓖, I've updated GTA SA Widescreen Fix on github. It is no longer necessary to have wshps.asi and scm drawings fix was added.

Also there's Widescreen Frontend Textures archive available as well, just like for III and VC.

CarSpeedDependantFOV and FOVControl options were removed from all fixes, instead I made a couple of exported functions to affect FOV externally. See example here.

Yes. That's missing since first build with AG fixes, also text under map gets badly positioned after a while.

Does this mean that older versions aren't available now? Pretty weird to see you changing almost perfect release to something... less stable

Do you still contunue developing this, or only _AG will continue it?

This was already released before as a dev build. If he released it as official release I'm pretty sure it's stable. Used both dev build and this one and both worked fine. Removed wshps.asi and still working fine.

Old version is available under a different tag: https://github.com/ThirteenAG/WidescreenFixesPack/releases/tag/gtasa-wshps

It is just in case, it won't be updated or anything, and might be removed at some point.

New fix shouldn't be less stable, it was in testing for quite a while as previous post mentions, and the goal was to keep everything the same as before.

That's not how github works, any contributions are welcomed. I'll do what I can when I can, but that shouldn't mean other people can't get involved.
