I had an issue like this elsewhere where each second frame did more work than the other - for whatever reason it confused vsync so much so such bad frame pacing was encountered, even though technically both "light" and "heavy" frames stayed under the 16.6ms quota.

@Aero_Dam thats bad news then :(

I was thinking it be the game as ug1, 2 and carbon are fine at 1080p with the widescreen fixes, very interesting about the 4k res though

I had a similar exe (6 365 184 bytes) that doesn't work either, problem is almost none of the patterns match the ones I use, so it's either a different compiler or the game code is very different.

If the code is different, I would have to make the fix from scratch. I don't know what am I gonna do about it, for now definitely nothing, at some point in the future maybe I'll take a look.

Hello, fans of old games. I didn't find the WS Fix for Colin McRae Rally 04. That's a great game though. ThirteenAG, can you make the WS Fix for it?

Thanks, tried fix with GOG 1.4 release, and it works fine, but

If I try to bump FOV from 1.0 to 1.2 at the sides of rendered area there are artifacts, objects disappear, like game is thinking - this area isn't used anymore, so I will not render objects there. (https://i.imgur.com/cs9KOim.png)

And a question, is it possible in future to add some HUD scaling functionality, or it's not that easy?

Updated dev build of Mafia fix, now asi loader is d3d8.dll with d3d8to9 enabled by default. In preparation for this:

 

D3d8 is also needed for setup.exe, I included a separate plugin with ability to write settings to file, which fixes this issue: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Mafia#In-game_settings_are_not_saved_correctly_in_Windows_10

Settings will be stored where savegames are, root/savegame/settings.bin.

amazing , but why droplets doesnt move to left or right when u move camera like in skygfx?

Different camera handling I suppose. Not something I'm going to "fix" really. There's a simple movement when driving, and I implemented a hydrant splash. I think good enough for 1 mission with rain.

@ThirteenAG nothing to do with WS fixes, but will you do the same fix for skygfx removing hooks in III and VC? I just want to know. :D

In Mafia, you cannot change your PC volume once you have entered the game. I know this must be due to the WS fix, since this issue never occurred before I had it.

I was told everything is fine in III/VC, so if someone reports a problem, I'll take a look.

Once again, San Andreas stops working as soon as I put this fix in. The only other mod I have is SilentPatch which works fine. I know it's this fix that screws up the game, because it only stopped working after I put it in, and it works again when I remove the 'Scripts' folder from the directory. Game version is 1.0.

Hello. If someone can help, how do I stop the game from booting with 1920x1080x32? My PC is slow, but I can play it at 1280x720x16, but it always resets to 1920x1080x32 when I start the game!
