You CAN drift on console

Recommended Posts

darkwar854

I have seen people drift on GTA 4 with mods and that just doesnt interest me. Dont get me wrong. Mods are cool at times, but i prefer to see people drift without mods or the suspension glitch. The best cars I found to drift with are...

Super gt

Banshee

Dukes

Coquette

Etc...

You need to just enter a corner from the far side, and then slam on the handbrake for about 1 second or until you fishtail out. Then you gas your way out countersteering when you need to, and if you gain traction again just handbrake again. Thats what I found out to be easiest.

Now I have a feeling that some of you wont believe me but heres proof...

Banshee drift

You're joking right?

'Can you drift in GTA 4?'

notify.gif I really hope you're new to the series.

If not you're probably stupid.

BTW the Feltzer is the best car to drift with by far.

Well, a powerslide loses grip after the apex of the turn, while a drift loses grip before. I start my drifts before I turn the corner so I really dont think that that is powersliding...

The Dukes, Sentinel, and Feltzer are great cars for drifting. I've gotten some pretty good drifts out of the Sentinel.

True, though it can also depend on how good you are at drifting a particular car. The Coquette was pretty awesome at drifting when I tested it a while back.

Which idiot said it wasn't possible? It's easy to drift on GTA IV (in the right vehicle) you just have to apply and/or release the gas/breaks at the right times. It's good because it actually takes practice and timing.

Yes, and it's very fun. I even got a good drift out of the Manana yesterday.

Random left and right swerving is NOT drifting... You just can't do proper drifting in this game without mods, it's impossible.

It's a bit hard to do because of the automatic transmission.
