GTA-King
^ Makes me think of The Sopranos. I wonder if going to see the therapist will be an optional thing for Michael. Like maybe after certain events in the story we will have to go talk to him. Would be funny if Michael talked to him about how he has found a new peace of mind, but not telling him it's because he returned to what he loves best... crime. Verdant
Michael and Jimmy definitely remind me of Tony Soprano and AJ. I really want to see the problems caused by Jimmy and Michael having to face it and sort things out. Jimmy hanging off that boat in the second GTA V trailer was outstanding. I wonder what caused that..
GTA-King
^ I imagine it could be like the relationship Vic had with Lance. Always having to bail him out of trouble. The thing is though, all Vic really did was criticise Lance. He never tried to teach his little brother anything. To be fair though, Vic wasn't a seasoned criminal like Michael... so he really didn't have much advice to give. Lance's attitude is ultimately what got him killed. Michael has seen it all. In his early 40's, he has learned alot about how to be a professional criminal. So unlike the relationship between Vic & Lance, Michael could actually give Jimmy advice. Again, it would be a tragic situation I know... but Michael could see it as the only way to finally bond with his son. SmoothGetaway
I can see Michael mentoring Jimmy to become a master criminal, but then again this is the relationship Michael has with Franklin. Something tells me that R* wouldn't want Jimmy and Franklin's relationships to Michael to be redundant, so I think Michael will (at first, anyway) try to insulate Jimmy from the fast life as he works with Franklin. Jimmy, being nosy, will discover Michael's secret and, rebelling, get himself into trouble and maybe, just maybe, the crew will eventually let Jimmy come along on a heist. Something tells me this will only create a problem/rift in the crew though, and a new plot point for Michael's story arc. One thing is certain: Jimmy will be a liability for Michael, along with the rest of his family. Yeah I think you got it right on the money. I don't think that Jimmy knows about his Dad's past or that he's back in the crime game, at least up until a certain part in the story. When they're in the car and he's talking about 'bouncing' it just seems like any punk teen talking to a parent. Definitely not someone who is part of the crew, at least imo. Either way I hope Jimmy doesn't end up a replacement for Michael a la RDR. And I liked playing as Jack.
GTA-King
^ No, not that! & me too. I always play good as John, but bad as Jack. Makes sense to me, considering what the government did to his father. Good Bad Edited March 19, 2013 by GTA-King
DarkDayz
I don't know about him being a heist member, but I notice he has the more hip hop orientated fashion sense and vocabulary. I think he will involve himself in crime in some way or another (probably drugs that come with the American music business if I had to guess) and we will have to countlessly save his ass with Michael on personal missions. I think most of Michael only missions will be family orientated, they focused on the son and daughter to tell his story during trailer 2, so that's my assumption. GTA-King
@darkdayz: That would be great too! I mean, look at this picture here: Looks like Tracy will be a little trouble maker too! mmmm I hope we can f*ck her as Franklin EDIT: Would love a great bonding scene like this one between Michael & Jimmy... Mr Mann
I kind of see their bond as not being so strong. In the trailer you see the therapist talking to michael he says 'Your son, he's a good kid?' Michael looks a little lost or almsot as though he is embarrassed. Then we see them in the car together later the way his son talks and the way michael talks to his son its seems his son has little respect for him and michael seems to make fun of his son's way of talking as though he disapproves of his lifestyle in some way or sees him as a failure. What does this mean for the plot, only Rock* could say.
Cheatz/Trickz
It doesn't look anything like Jimmy in the first trailer, or the artwork. And he's not covering anything, he's is just looking the other way.

And he's not covering anything, he's is just looking the other way. Well, Jimmy's tattoo is on the right side of his neck, and the person in the artwork is not showing that side. So maybe R* did that on purpose. And in the first trailer, it could just be an early build of him. Not saying it's him, but it's a possibility... as I have pointed out. Peregrin Brandytook
Whenever I think of Jimmy and Michael, I can't help but think of "Cats in the cradle" who would of thought a boy like me could come to this lol btw back ontopic now
blakeney
I have a feeling that when playing as Michael we will get a lot of phone calls from Jimmy asking to do stuff (like bowling), kinda as a joke/nod to IV, but they will obviously tone it down a bit so its not as annoying.. Their relationship is one of the many character relationship interactions I'm looking forward to seeing in game, its these that sets GTA apart from any game with a thick plot and deep story. Maggot899
What interests me is how Michael's relationship with Franklin may cause him to be more distant with Jimmy so his therapist requires Michael to spend time with Jimmy? Since Jimmy is a lazy, unambitious kid, that may stress Michael out because it is his fault he is that way and there will always be a void between them that needs filling which is where Franklin comes in. Michael just might decide to show his son what his trade is a few times which could lead to some interesting missions. I do not know why but this Story excites me more than any other GTA story...anyone else feel that?
trevors685
Well we know we can do activities with Jimmy, so maybe before the bug mission, we have to go on a certain number of activities with Jimmy in order to build their bond. Micheal and him get close, and maybe he lets Jimmy work with him.

RyanWot
I reckon Michael won't like his son, and is always at him to get off his lazy butt, but then Jimmy gets caught up in Michaels criminal work, and gets kidnapped or something, then Michael will have no choice but to save him. Then the bond gets a bit better.

GTA-King
So I'm thinking the dude getting out of the van is one of Michael's goons, not his son. Who agrees? EDIT: I say this because it has been confirmed that we can hire goons to help us on scores. Edited June 17, 2013 by GTA-King

SmoothGetaway
That artwork rocks, looks like the moments before the jewelry store heist in trailer 1. In Michaels trailer, Jimmy says something about 'mid life crisis bullsh*t'. But we don't hear what Michael says to him right before. I'm not gonna rule out Jimmy being on the team, but right now he's just just too much of a bitch for me to believe he's capable of armed robbery. Hopefully he gets more character development than Roman did.

growsinwater
"The son I always wanted..." Damn mike looks menacing as f*ck.. Yup and Franklin looks focused as f*ck on that AK, I can't wait to do these f*cking heists. I watched Heat for the first time in years and it got me so amped for this game. Then I watched Drive, I pray there's some dope ass getaway missions similar to the opening scene of that flick. Now that would give me a chubby haha.
