The Pizza Delivery Guy
WARNING: Major spoilers ahead In recent trends for Rockstar games, very important characters met untimely demises throughout their storylines. In GTA IV: Roman or Kate depending on whichever ending In Red Dead Redemption: John Marston the PROTAGONIST In L.A. Noire Cole Phelps the PROTAGONIST From the above trend I believe that characters in GTA V, mainly the protagonists are in grave danger. Which character in the game do you believe might die in the story...Or what about all of them?

Deffpony
I dont know why but it kind of annoys me that people assume Rockstar will kill of one of the three characters due to the previous trend.
Shoumaker
I dont know why but it kind of annoys me that people assume Rockstar will kill of one of the three characters due to the previous trend. It's because you don't want any of the 3 protagonists destiny be similar to John Marston's or Cole Phelp's. I would be disappointed too if this is the case in GTA V as R* are starting to develop a trend for this. I hated it when Jim was killed in 'The Lost and Damned' not only because he was your best friend but because you lost his special ability as well and I sincerely hope this isn't the case with GTA V. GTAfan786
I personally don't think any of the protags will die. It doesn't make sense to add three protags in the beginning and play with 2 at the end. They didn't even say anyone was gonna die at all. But i think Lamar who is Franklin's homie might die because of getting into serious sh*t inside the hood. Otherwise i really am not sure what will happen...

Mr Rabbit
think it will be down to choices made, maybe one of the protags, depending on choices or depending on choices made at the end one of the 3 jimmy ron (trevor's friend) franklin's girlfriend maybe all 3 of those
saintsrow
This is a worthy topic and my contribution is this: It is hard to predict how the story will play out, but based on your examples, I for one am really pissed because I feel cheated, if my player gets killed as part of an un-alterable story line and I can't do anything about it. If I am going to become immersed in a storyline and a character's story, it is jarring and not satisfying when that character gets taken away. On the other hand, I am not much broken up if other characters get the big sleep. GTA is a dangerous game. But two related things make me mad about killing main characters. First, we have no real choice -- the story is going to play out and demand that we take one branch or the other. We can't prevent the killing altogether no matter how hard we work, even though we have worked very hard throughout the rest of the game. It just re-emphasizes that all we are really doing is watching a movie made by Sam & Dan; we don't really have free will. The second thing that makes me mad about this, is that it is cheap scriptwriting. In most action movies, a few innocents have to suffer and die in order to provide artificial drama and motivate the action and revenge taken by the protag in the rest of the movie. Even Disney movies are like this. Cheap cheap cheap!!! In a video game, I am working my ass off, and I expect to have some effect on the storyline, successfully saving the people I want to save and killing the people I want to kill. Interactive video games can allow me free will, whereas passive movie-watching does not. So I hope that Sam and Dan stop writing cheap B movies and instead, give us true free will in the game logic. I don't mind if I have to retry a mission 5 times to save a person -- that's OK -- I just want the possibility of actually saving them, not some goddamn cheap cutscene where they get riddled with bullets after all of my hard work. Supernutz40
Here is what I'm thinking. One of the Housers already said that one of the protags becomes the antag. Ill bet that guy kills one of the other two protags (possibly your choice, imagine THAT dilema) and the remaining protag then kills him-the antag. Reiji
If I had to choose between Chop and Michael, I would choose Michael to die. Even if sparing Michael will give me infinite money, 21421 safehouses, and a flying Infernus submarine. I don't wanna see Chop go. GTAfan786
Here is what I'm thinking. One of the Housers already said that one of the protags becomes the antag. Ill bet that guy kills one of the other two protags (possibly your choice, imagine THAT dilema) and the remaining protag then kills him-the antag. So you're saying one protag will be left over? If a protag turns to antagonist, doesn't mean there will be a proper tradegy in a sense of death. Technically, the tradegy in the story is that Michael, a retired bank robber who is rich as f*ck with a family decides to come back in the criminal business. So i think Michael might turn to antag and then turn good again after realising what he has done. But then again we don't know anything yet, so it could go in any direction. The Pizza Delivery Guy
I'm sorry... but I think Chop has the highest chance of dying. I don't want to see it either, but it's probably going to happen. When it does happen, whoever did it will HAVE THEIR WIFE MURDERED THEIR CHILDREN FED TO CROCODILES THEIR HOME BURNED TO THE GROUND AND THEIR GENITALS MAULED. What I would like to see is one of the protagonists shot or injured in some way during a mission and while one drives to the hospital, the two yell at each other in the back seat. R* would make a brilliant script for that moment.

Quackerz Gamerz
I really hope that none of the protagonists die, I don't want R* to go down that route again. Also, what's the point in having 3 characters to play as, if 1 or 2 of them are going to get killed off? I think that Lamar, Michaels wife + daughter and Franklin's girlfriend will most likely be killed. There may even be a mission for Franklin where you either choose to save Lamar, or girlfriend... Finn 7 five 11
I dont know why but it kind of annoys me that people assume Rockstar will kill of one of the three characters due to the previous trend. Same here, Like sure, it's possible, but it's not GOING to happen, it's still a very big maybe, no harm in speculating a little. If someone does die, I'm expecting Michael's son Jimmy to be the one who takes the hit.
