Multiplayer Features, Gametypes, Functions.

Right so first things first. I'm sure many of you have played GTA IV multiplayer, either on consoles, or PC.

 

How many of you remember when we had the option of turning off player blips?

No, not the glitch to do this, I'm talking the Multiplayer game option to disable player blips in Multiplayer.

 

I'd like to see this feature return. It was pretty awesome being able to sneak around the map unnoticed, and seeing an obvious player drive by, completely missing you as you blend in with traffic or the general pedestrian crowd. and it made for less hunt/kill freemode. I could explore without some jerk in an annihilator or Buzzard come up and kill me every few minutes.

 

Now, What sorts of features would you like to see in multiplayer/brought back?

 

Game modes?

 

Options?

 

Weapons/Vehicles?

 

 

I'd like to see races come back, but with weapons disabled (it's no fun doing races and having some asshat come over with rockets and blow everyone up mid race.)

or maybe limited to pistols/SMG's because a well placed shot can change the outcome of a race.

 

Freemode should return.

 

Maybe a Cruise/Roleplay mode, with weapons disabled, so people can just drive and explore with friends, without the fear of getting slaughtered.

Some sort of CTF/KoTH game mode would be interesting. especially on places like Mt. Chilliad.

Now it could be like a conventional Capture the Flag, where each team grabs the enemies flag from their base, then returns it for points.

 

King of the hill could be fun. Two teams fight to take control of something on top of a hill/mountain. (fighting to own the top of MT.Chilliad could be fun for this.) or fighting for control of a building.

I hope the V servers will be more crouded than the IV servers.

 

I wanted to play capture the flag mode, dont know the IV name for it right now, a lot of times but there was never a game for that.

 

Cops n crooks was epic and should return.

 

I want like 10 coop missions, those were sweet, i played those hundreds of times.

 

And of course more than 16 player slots.

 

edit: AND ofcourse races. I can see them giving us some races through the countryside.

yes, 16 or even 32 slots for some game modes would be awesome (Freemode and clan cruises, anyone?)

 

I have a feeling the V servers will be a bit busier, keep in mind there where always games happening in IV when it first came out, you could cycle through 30 freemode matches at a time.

 

Yes, more co-op missions would be great.

GTA Freeroam: a freeroam where you can play minigames such as golf, watch tv and all the other features so that you and your friends can just hang out. That means able to use taxis, throw house parties(eat, watch tv, etc.). I wana go to a stip club with just my pals.

This has never been all it could be (wasn't it in LC Stories? I never played that) - if it was a multiplayer mode, it would be chaos.

That Cruise mode sounds good. Definitely need Races back though for the competitive drivers. Imagine the tracks they could do, from typical 3 lap street races to canyon sprints and even outskirt marathons.

Right on. Freemode/Freeroam is where it's at, and like you said, being able to play the mini-games with friends, and have subways, taxi's, bars, clubs, and EVERYTHING that works in story mode operating would be nice. I always wished that I could play the pool game in IV with friends, but.... Hopefully this will change with V.

 

I think there might be a need for two versions of Freemode though, or at least some toggle choices such as, Weapons Off inside of places where minigames are played so they won't be interrupted IF the game party wishes it so.

 

I don't give a fark about verses online game modes, but Freemode is a proven winner in my book.

On GTA IV free roaming gets pretty boring fast, so I'd love to be able to carry out heists and such with friends on free roam. Also, having a safe house so that we can save cars and pick up where we left off later. It doesn't even have to be in free roam, as it could be a co-op system. R* Just give me the ability to do more fun things with friends!

 

Just features like this add so much replay value.

 

Also, another thing that'd just be awesome - Policing in free roam. It would be where you and a buddy can go to a police station and then just go out on patrol looking for criminals and sh*t.
