For those who haven't played Far Cry 3, It has animations when you're being attacked by Bears, Crocodiles, Snakes and all other deadly animals and it's pretty scary. It works well in FC3 due to the first-person perspective, which makes it more immersive and realistic. But in 3rd person view its not as effective, because it's almost like you're watching somebody else being attacked by the animal. I also agree that it should be improved from RDR. RDR gave me a feeling I hadn't had since Ocarina of Time back on N64. I literally had a lump in my throat when the credits starting rolling. I just want the animals to be exactly like RDR, maybe some improved animation. I don't want silly QTE when you're attacked. The amount of work R* SD put into the horses was simply staggering, they felt so realistic & it would be a shame if they didn't transfer them over to V. I imagine Tracy has her very own pony. mobe Posted March 9, 2013 Share Posted March 9, 2013 I expect the animal animations in GTAV to be a step up a notch from RDR. There's always improvements from one game to the next. The animal animations are being controlled by Euphoria, which was actually originally built in Oxford university to accurately map animal muscle movement so they should be way above that of FC3.
