Infinite time on burglary side missions (PS2)

Just like Ryders "Home invasion" story mission, a noise meter arises upon entering a house. Tear gas (unlike other weapons) will kill the occupants without raising the noise meter and thus, will subsequently erase the noise meter also. Note that you must hit them with the bottles (the fumes will have no effect).

For infinite mission time, enter the always 21:00 cheat (Left(2), L2, R1, Right, Square(2), L1, L2, X) or the always 00:00 cheat (Square, L1, R1, Right, X, Up, L1, Left, Left) which will give you all the time you may want.

The best place (in my opinion) to do this is Prickle Pine. Many two-story houses contain several televisions, microwaves, radios and other things.

If you get the van and go wait by the RR tracks in Ganton, at exactly 20:00 activate the mission, drive to the row of houses behind big smoke's house. Park in front of a house where there is a house next door also available to rob. Enter the first house, walk normal, get the tv, walk out, place it in the truck as soon as the screen says you can, run/sprint to the house next door, grab the tv, place it in the truck, go back to first house and repeat. There is an endless supply of tvs as when you enter the 2nd house the 1st house resets and because the living rooms are so small even when you make too much noise and the cops countdown starts, you have plenty of time to exit before it reaches zero. I have done this as an early starter on my master save and usually get between 48-56 tvs this way.

I have noticed if you cross the RR tracks into Idlewood that many times the houses mentioned above are not open to rob. These houses are perfect because they are very close to the road and very close to each other.

I've been quite "lucky" with this spot

I like that the stereo in the one house is right at the door.

Do each item bring the same money?

I think you could have got one more stereo before time ran out too !

Have you seen where you get injured sometimes when getting the tv?

All items bring forth the same revenue. One Television is worth twenty dollars; one radio is worth 20 dollars; one microwave is worth twenty dollars; etc. The value soars when you accumulate more items and so it's all about quantity.

I recall snatching a microwave, carrying it downstairs, falling and losing some of the health gauge.

Having a sniper rifle is the best. They're common and don't make noise, and you can kill the peds without the mission failing.

The problem with the sniper rifle is despite the little noise, it causes peds to run, so it makes enough noise to awaken sleeping homeowners during these missions. Tear gas is best; try it.

It's burglary and time is limited, so why make it complicated when a silenced gun and a headshot is easy and simple.

But I think it's fun to hit peds with canisters. tounge.gif

The best place is anywhere where two unlocked houses are adjacent. It's inefficient to rob two storey houses.

I've been quite "lucky" with this spot

56 items is very good. I've only got 54, but I know that I can improve my record. If you park in between houses that is even closer than that, you could maybe get 57 or 58 items.

Having a sniper rifle is the best. They're common and don't make noise, and you can kill the peds without the mission failing.

The sniper rifle is anything but silent!
