schuirmann23man
Alright I know what i'm going to talk about has been discussed already. But I think Trevor will turn out to be the antagonist.Say he only reunites with Michael to get revenge because he didn't get the happy life like Michael.Or Franklin could also be a Undercover FIB agent. Also characters from IV.Packie could be the guy in the IAA headquarters that you have to break out for FIB.And Gay Tony could own a nightclub in LS. saintsrow
So, by the end of the game, the whole story builds up to a clear conclusion that there will be a huge final boss battle against Trevor, the super-antagonist, and so Michael and Franklin call in all the heavy hitters that they have met throughout the game, to go into that final boss battle. Here is the planning session for the battle:
TheGodDamnMaster
I don't think the antagonist is going to be one of the playable characters. If you kill one off, you lock out certain mini games and side missions. I think Houser's quote about "you play as the antagonist as well" was taken out of context. grope_4_that_date
I wouldn't be surprised if one of them is the antagonist. Hell, maybe we get to pick which one.
Honest Bill
Packie isn't in the game.. They specifically said that.. They also said only minor characters will return, which means Tony is very unlikely to qualify too. As for Trevor being the antagonist; If any of the playable characters is the 'antagonist' in the traditional sense, then that means it will be very difficult to give the story a satisfying resolution and still retain the ability to play as all three characters. Besides which, if we get to play as all three and their goals are in direct conflict, that means all three would qualify equally as an 'antagonist' since you will be playing as each of them as a 'protagonist' and will be playing from each point of view. carcols.dat
Am I the only one who remembers R* explicitly stating this? They said you would get to play as both the antagonist and protagonists. Which could only mean one thing, unless there's a 4th character they're keeping secret.

If you're playing as a character, he becomes a 'protagonist' as opposed to an 'antagonist' He may well have meant that some of the protagonist's goals are in direct conflict with each other, but in that case they would still all be 'protagonists' and it would also necessarily follow that if either character is 'antagonist' then the term must apply to all three of them. We can only speculate as to what he actually meant by what he said. But i suspect by 'antagonist' he really just meant 'bad guy'

It also wouldn't make sense, because that would be a huge spoiler to give away. A lot of people tend to overlook one of the most basic definitions of 'antagonist'. Like you said, it can just mean 'bad guy'.

AuSsIeThUnDeR36
I agree with the comment about killing one of the big 3. It would stuff the game up being in the form of not being able to complete side missions, unless of course that would mean having to start a new game, kill one of the others at the end of the game and explore 3 multiple endings. I only see Michael on the right... I believe Patrick Brown created that artwork right after trailer #1 was released, so he didn't know about the other two protagonists yet.
