Naturally as things were getting better I got killed with a meteor shower. @nate - that city looks sweet. How did you restrain from using some of that land while the rest of the city developed? I got hit with one on a different server and i lost around 30 homes. sh*t was horrible cause i didnt have the fire service needed to deal with the fires nor did i have the money to make it better. I just put the circular road around the area I was going to build casinos in the future, and kept telling myself "Don't build there!" and used as much space as possible around the circle while letting buildings increase in density. I always do that with mining cities also. But I may have to put a wind mill in there for extra power because the coal delivery truck always takes a while to get to my power plant causing small power outages, and I imagine the casinos would use up a lot of power and trigger a major power outage. I also got hit with a meteor shower, right in my Downtown area. And it was right after all of the high wealth skyscrapers developed. So, really this is my second downtown. Only two buildings survived. I even made a little memorial park for the people who died . I'll probably post more pics or a video when I'm finished, but right now I'm going through some financial difficulties. I have about 5,000 simoleons (I think, haven't played that place in a while) and am on the verge of negative income. I had to cut back on my brand new streetcar line. To the point of not having even a square outlying the city area being there... if that makes sense. That and it wouldnt let me load Trip's Stinktown city for a visit. So wait, are my cities gone too? Haven't checked yours, but mine was still there although it said there was 0 population and 50K Simoleons (default?) when I roll over my mouse over it.
