Icarus
1. North Korea, at the present moment, doesn't have the capability to attach a warhead to a missile that could reach the continental United States. 2. Even if North Korea was stupid enough to try that, the United States could turn their country into a modern nuclear wasteland without much effort. Stephan90
It's not going to happen, since a nuclear warhead would at least weigh one ton and their best rockets equipped with such a nuclear warhead couldn't reach the west coast of the USA. They just want to provoke to get into new negotiations with the USA. It is much more likely that they would start with artillery fire on South Korea first if they want to escalate the situation. Guest
I'm going to start the Brotherhood of Steel with my mate Joey, he's got loads of BB and nerf guns at his house. I get to be the Elder though because it's my idea. Joey can lead Lazy's Pride and we'll have branches at James' house and my house. I'll raid the school for some football shin pads and we'll create our own power armour. Edited March 7, 2013 by Guest

na89340qv0n34b09q340
Why do they hate us so much? It has something to do with the Korean war, and how we tried to defend S. Korea from the communists in N. Korea and China. They also hate nearly every other modern democracy, but especially us because we stopped them from unifying with S. Korea. Adriaan
If you've followed North Korea over the last 10 years (and I'm sure prior to that) you'd know that they are a nation of threats. It's sort of their thing... nothing ever comes from it. It almost always is in response to something from the West, such as new sanctions or military exercises by South Korea/U.S.. Honestly, how many more sanctions can the U.N. put on this country!!??
Shenmue18
They've wanted to do this for quite some time... they just know that A. Their nukes are incapable of making it that far B. We have the numbers game in soldiers and equipment So they'd just end up getting destroyed by America.

It isn't bleak, it is hopeful. Yes, the globalists... That would make a great hologram for the bottom of a skateboard! Alex Jones may be a media icon today yet I remember discussions far before he was on radio regarding the topic. ------------ N. Korea has long term been, for a lack of a fast way to describe it, been akin to China's Pit Bull. It is difficult to say what all is going on with this issue. I have noticed that on the other side of the planet that Peace talks with the Islamic world have escaped most media though. ------------ Finding your humanity is a pain in the ass for anyone, that is especially true if you separate yourself from others by thinking you are better than others inherently. Yet, Globalism, may not mean later what it so often seems to mean today due to current media platforms.

Adriaan
There's a bigger story here. It's not always "they". There's been a battle between the leader and its military. Heck, even within the military there's infighting and differences. Back when Kim Jong Il died, there was a lot of infighting within the military. Many assassinations took place. There are those who want to move forward, and others who want to continue on with the hostile behavior.
agent17
1. North Korea, at the present moment, doesn't have the capability to attach a warhead to a missile that could reach the continental United States. With enough rocket fuel anything is possible. Although the missile would be easily intercepted. I am far more concerned for South Korea and possibly Japan. In any case NK is planning to resume hostile action on March 11, so we will see what happens.
Toke
So how long are we going to wait until they get their hands on a rocket actually capable of reaching US soil? I've grown sick and tired of the North's constant posturing, brazen acts of war and threats towards everyone and anyone over the years, maybe its actually time for the world to give them a collective bitch slap and get it over with? I mean its only a matter of time. Sure it'll be dirty but might as well get it over with now so our grandchildren's grandchildren don't have to worry about a ICBM armed North Korea. I mean at this point even their biggest butt buddy, China is slowly backing away in a "I don't know this guy" sort of manner as if their giving us a freebee. Hell, they might even step in themselves at some point if the North gets any more belligerent.
GTA-King
If we were to attack them first, then there's a possibility China will help them. We don't want a war with China. The world's two biggest super powers duking it out wouldn't be pretty. EDIT: Meh, if it came to that, I think China would give us a freebee... like someone else said. China wouldn't get into a war with us because N. Korea is a bunch of dumbasses. Edited March 7, 2013 by GTA-King

PixelJ
If North Korea pulled anything like that it would be over for them before they even knew it. 018361
I know I really shouldn't say this, but i'm tired of N. Korea's childish behavior. Why don't we just end them already? Why wait until they actually have the power to do something and then act? Just tell them, " stop with this childish tomfoolery or we are going to bring your silly regime to an end. " and if they don't....well, lets just say it won't be pretty for them. Also, I find it funny to see china guiding N. Korea's hand like a blind child.
