ChocoFrosty
Does anyone know what the actual height of Mt. Chiliad is? I've been searching for some time, but haven't been able to find anything about it. I thought, for sure, that someone must have done the measurements on PC. I should've asked this years ago when more people would be interested to go look into this. Thanks for any answers and/or guesses!

Pyrrhic
According to the Mt Chilliad Guide it is 2000 feet high like NateShaw92 said, but this is probably just an estimate and not a realistic number. But who knows, it might me 100% accurate.

Pyrrhic
that was it!I'm doubtful myself that is only 500m not much of a mountain 16 5 5 Try telling that to us Aussies! We'll call a minor rise in landscape a mountain due to our lack of such! 16 5
ChocoFrosty
Thanks!! I don't know how I missed that. Now I have something to compare to when we find out how tall GTA V's Mt. Chiliad is. If I discover any other official information, I'll post it here.
OrionSR
Coordinates taken from the peak of Mt Chiliad provide an altidude of 525.8285 meters, or 1725.15912 feet. JubabyDaGator
ChocoFrosty
Coordinates taken from the peak of Mt Chiliad provide an altidude of 525.8285 meters, or 1725.15912 feet. Did you measure that yourself? Is that from the highest point (not just like the flat area on top)?
OrionSR
Yes, I took the measurement when CJ was standing at the tallest point. I subtracted 1 meter from the coordinates provided, which measures CJ's midpoint - or the height of most pickups, to get the measure at CJ's feet. Pyrrhic
Wait, so does that mean according to the games units of measurement CJ is technically 2 metres tall?
Lioshenka
I have to add that this only measures the height of the mountain above the sea level - you have to subtract the height of a landmass which is probably aroud 30 metres. Therefore the actual height of mt Chiliad above the landmass is about 500 metres - but as half of it is on the shore you can give it a full 528. OrionSR
Wait, so does that mean according to the games units of measurement CJ is technically 2 metres tall? I was wondering the same thing but never got curious enough to stick CJ between two objects 2 meters apart to see if there's a gap; maybe with a tall hat. I think I read somewhere that characters in general tend to be based on the 2 meter scale because it's easy to do the math for what fits or doesn't, but a model may not use all 2 meters. The standard measure for mountain height is altitude above sea level. Sea level in San Andreas is at 0.0.
b0ssVenom
Ive just imported Mt.Chilliad into 3ds Max and it shows me that height of the highest point is exactly 524,201 meters. Flachbau

Jordanskene01
I know this Topic is over 7 years old anyway I’ve found a sign in GTA Saying the height of it it says 2.7km so that’s about 8000 feet now yes you could consider using real measurements but this is a game and game logic is silly sometimes so no point using actual measurements cause games aren’t made to Be perfectly realistic
Rhoda
I'd usually lock older topics but I'm interested in where this sign is - I'd rather like to take a look. Whereabouts in game is it? It seems a lot of other players in this topic I missed it too. RyanDri3957V
