Saracen7
would be a nice feature to be routinely pulled over.. especially as franklin (l.a cops tend to have that reputation) thoughts?

jamieleng
I think that would get boring fast. I'd like to see npc's getting pulled over, not like in IV where it just spawned it in the same place (on the bridge)
saintsrow
would be a nice feature to be routinely pulled over..especially as franklin (l.a cops tend to have that reputation) thoughts? I agree, Franklin would get pulled over randomly, especially when driving an exotic car (which in fact he probably just repo'd anyway). It's going to be pretty funny when the cops says, "Sir, are there any weapons in the vehicle?"
Absurdity
The problem with something like this is that you're always carrying, at least some weapons for the majority of the game. There's always going to be penalization for stopping.
KPort45
I think it would be cool you would be able to choose what to say ex: Do you have weapons or drugs in the vehicle sir? Pick one -Yes -No Sometimes the police would leave you alone and you can be on your way others could be dicks and do a full search and not believe you when you say no you dont have anything. Edit: and when they try to search you you have the option of hauling ass or blasting them.
Quackerz Gamerz
Nice idea, but I believe it would get annoying very fast. As another user said, for most of the game you will have weapons on you, so it would always result in fines/weapons taken away, etc...

Racecarlock
Why? Just why? Why would so many people want something that sounds so amazingly annoying? What if you're just trying to cruise and all of a sudden a cop stops you? What if you're just having a nice relaxing time and then get busted because random search? Do you have ANY idea how incredibly, amazingly, stupefyingly annoying this could get?

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it will be annoying for everyone else. So I should just give up because no one else would have a problem? Hell no, I should fight harder than ever. Do you people honestly not see any problems with this? I mean, what happens in areas with high police populations? Would you spend the entire time getting pulled over every minute? And the thing is that while some people might indeed find random traffic stops relaxing, the problem is it would effect me too and I would personally hate it. This wouldn't be like an optional cheat or hardcore mode or something where I could just turn it off and not have it bother me, this would be a constant annoyance that would ruin many areas of the game for me. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it will be annoying for everyone else. Well it is going to get boring quickly that's a fact. What happens when you're doing a mission that might have a timer or you're chasing someone? Imagine you have to stop when a police car pulls you over? You will fail it. It's not a bad idea but seriously it will get annoying. Too realistic aswell, after all it's just a video game, not a real life simulator.
K-Malo94
Most players don't even obey traffic laws. what makes you think it would be possible for police to pull you over without it being a chase scene every time? terrible idea.
Schemer
I was always told that lights and sirens meant he wanted to race, not pull me over... Seriously though, most police officers won't just pull you over unless they have probable cause (ex. speeding, no safety belt, expired plates, etc). Plus in real life randomly pulling over vehicles is just adding onto your daily paperword which already is probably a stack or two high. I don't think this would make sense in the game what so ever. blowtorchrepair
perhaps this could be interesting IF it happened rarely, like say once or twice for every 5 hours of game play to where it wouldn't happen every single time we sit down to play the game... And I live in New Haven, CT (not among the safest places to live in the northeast) And why would it occur for Franklin more often? Just to show how overtly racist npcs are? This is like a slap on the face in addition to an already stupid idea for a feature.

The character automatically comes out in a few seconds, do we wait for someone to bail us out? We are lucky rockstar don't listen to some of the fans.... Fuzzknuckles
Sounds like hassle to me. If it only happened once in 50 hours of play time, fine, but if it was going to happen every time I decide to play, it'd be hassle. Signatures are dumb anyway. It adds to the entire experience. It makes the world that much more believable and interesting. Maybe believable doesn't always mean fun. I mean, you know what else would be completely believable? If there was a game mechanic for paying taxes. Or mike's wife calling him home to do the dishes constantly or something. Or having to mow the lawn. Or having to do laundry. And I don't know about you, but I don't find reality that interesting unless we're talking about the outer depths of space or strange deep sea life that by all accounts should be impossible. I don't mind if it's something like the pedestrians seeming more like real people and having less scripted and more improvised conversations where they still manage to stay on the same topic. That's something that I actually like. Being pulled over and forced to waste my time sitting in a car waiting for some officer to write up a ticket is not fun for me and a lot of other people. This isn't reality, so why should I have to deal with the bullsh*t of reality?
