Reiji
I've always wondered how Rockstar will pull off the statistics when you pause the game. You think it will stick to GTAIV where it generalizes your entire gameplay? Little Jacob Progress: 100%Favorite station: Massive B Least favorite station: Liberty Rock Player image: Flashy Or will it be separate for each character: Tae Wong Progress [Michael]: 33%Tae Wong Progress [Franklin]:100% Trevor's Image: Sloppy Jalopy Michael's Image: Soccer Mom Franklin's Image: Boy Racer Favorite vehicle [Trevor]: BF Injection Favorite vehicle [Michael]: Perennial Favorite vehicle [Franklin]: Kuruma For me I hope statistics will appear separately for each character not altogether, but when you're currently playing as him. Currently as Michael: Tae Wong Progress: 33 Accuracy: 8% Headshots: 0 Favorite station: Some oldies Player image: Soccer mom Favorite vehicle: Perennial Currently as Franklin Tae Wong Progress: 100 Accuracy: 98% Headshots: 2389715789327 Favorite station: Something similar to Radio Los Santos Player image: Boy racer Favorite vehicle: Kuruma If they're going that way, I can almost guarantee you that there will be issues looking at other's stats at the R* Social Club site. I'll be really impressed if there wasn't. Edited March 6, 2013 by Reiji
Adriaan
That's certainly a good question and not something I thought of before. I think you pretty much got it right in your speculation. Be nice to have it split out like that for each of the three main playable characters.
Elothel
I was thinking about that too. I think that every character should have his own statistics, maybe including the one's like: "Time played as: T,M,F; People killed as:T,M,F; etc. That would make the statistics really interesting. CommonSeb
yeah, separate stats would be best. Even more importantly - Separate economy. I want to earn money with each of them for different reasons.
jamieleng
I know you're talking about stats in the pause menu but there is something else I want to discuss. There seems to be a horrible trend of current games having immersion breaking notifications pop up during gameplay, with the current Tomb Raider being a prime example. If memory serves me correctly, TBOGT had mission statistics show up at the end of a mission only when you replayed them via your phone. I don't mind this being carried over to V, but during the first playthrough, I want it to remain as cinematic as possible. I'm pretty sure there will be separate statistics for each protagonist though.

I always want to take my time during the missions, take a taxi if I feel like it or just not aim for the heads of the thugs, but these little bastards always kind of force you to give your best performance. Same, I like playing for fun and not trying to get trophies and much less playing missions only to get 100% of them. On topic: For me the stats of GTA IV were good. Also stats for each character separately seems quite obvious for me, with each of them having their own "bank accounts" etc lol.
Fuzzknuckles
I freaking love the stats, so the more the better. The same stats as we currently have for IV x3. YEAH. Signatures are dumb anyway.

You didn't have to fulfill all the requirements at once. For example, if you finished the mission within the specified time, then the next time you replayed the mission you could just concentrate on getting the headshots. Obviously I wouldn't want these types of mission goals to be part of the storyline, only once you've completed the mission & then want to replay it. In fact I would rather you had to finish the single player storyline completely before these 'mission stats/objectives' became available. I hate being reminded you're playing a game.
