They would not loose a billion dollars of four monthsworth of sales for simple polishing. They would release and patch. The game is broken and broken BADLY. The game is so broke they had to delay the release. It is so broke that if you inserted GTA V into your (insert console of choice) now it would kill your system. You do NOT state "Spring Release" then delay for polishing lol. Wake up man. I got some seaside property for sale. Interested? They've done this countless times. ...So then start expecting them to delay every title of theirs? I don't lose respect for a company who's working their asses off to make the game all it can be for us. You honestly think it felt good to them to have to delay it, especially with knowing how a lot of you would act? I'd rather endure the delay than be bitching about the game when it releases. But if the game runs like crap come September 17th, then I'll be bitching lol. It's not a matter of the that. The point is, many, many other games companies release their titles without delay. It's an internal error, somewhere. I'm not going to pretend I know how to manage game dev companies but if Rockstar are showing a trend in delaying their games, evidence points towards some lack of communication within the company. Why do some companies have a high delay rate over others? Are they being unrealistic with their deadlines? Anyone read the article about the ex-Rockstar dev working in RDR? He said they were given these totally unrealistic deadlines they had to meet. Ones they knew they weren't going to make when they accepted to do them. Of course I will be in line at EB the night GTA V comes out, regardless of how it stacks up. Yeah right.. Watch dogs is a one trick pony. I much respect what R* are trying to do. I do feel like the delay crushed all the magic of it, but I'm sure the end product will be better than anybody at Ubertryhards can imagine. I know it's annoying ,but what the hell....did this delay like ruin your years and years of planning for the perfect time to play it or something?Is it that big of a deal that a company that like few others is giving their best in every game they make and pushing things to the limit for the best experience,delays the game once?! Yes, the Rockstar North janitor, who also happens to be the email IT admin by day, says he has seen all the panicked emails and tirades from the bosses. The janitor / IT guy has email IT search rules set to log any Rockstar North mail with the phrases or terms "broken" "brucken""borked" "FUBAR" "screwed" "hosed" "fail" "disaster" "monster.com" "beyond repair" "missed deadline" "you're fired" "stumbled" "fumbled" "never work in this town again" "wipeout" "burned out" "wrecked" "suicide" "homicide" "this sh*t's f*cked up" "bold new direction my ass" "done for" "hopeless" "i canna change the laws o'physics" . Based on increasing hits on these terms in recent months, the janitor / IT admin says the game is fubar. Plus, the entire dev team is working overnight, while the janitor is cleaning up, and he is overhearing the devs saying that the game needs another year or so of work just to be made minimally functional. You are right dude, GTA V is GTA SA with GTA IV graphics, and multi protag is bullsh*t, people need to play a real Open World game like WD and not GTA 4.5.
