Tennis, Full golf course and other features i cant list because we saw 1% of the whole f*ck*n game!!!! Watch Dogs STOLE MAX PAYNE 3 SHOOTING MECHANISM ,,Just look at the slow motion and the reticle point . No, Sleeping Dogs (used to be True Crime Hong Kong when it was owned by Activision) is made by United Front. Watch Dogs is being made by Ubisoft. Of course I will be in line at EB the night GTA V comes out, regardless of how it stacks up. So you're saying that you think Rockstar saw Watch Dogs, got scared and so decided to release GTA V closer to Watch Dogs' release date? No offense but that isn't logical at all. Watch Dogs is also on my list of games of get but seriously, If i HAD to choose one, It'd be GTA. Its always GTA. I'm married to it, heck, when I wake up in the mornings the first thing I see is GTA. Now, I honestly do not believe that GTA V was delayed because of how superb Watch Dogs look. I feel that the game was delayed more than because of this whole "the game needs more polishing" stuff that R* are feeding folks. But no one knows the real reason other than R*, so people are just going to go along with it. I remember years ago when people were saying that 2 Days to Vegas, Eight Days and The Getaway 3 were all cancelled because the companies feared GTA IV. Sounds stupid as hell but that's how it is. Watch Dogs = GTAIV + futuristic bullsh*t. Another goddamn "Assassins Creed" one hit wonder. What is it with those sh*tty games? Its excellent to see that you have actually played Watch Dogs. Rockstar delayed GTAV release so they could add electronic surveillance and digital hacking of the infrastructure to GTAV Now Watch Dogs has nothing on GTAV ... And btw maybe you don't remember anymore or you were too young, but IV was delayed for the same reasons like V has been: for "polishing", but IV was everything else than polished with this f*ckload of bugs. GTA IV was indeed delayed for polishing. The lack of storage on Xbox 360 and the hard programming of the PlayStation 3 were the reason why GTA IV was delayed to April 2008. It depends on what you are understanding under 'polishing' because the definition of it is something we could argue about. I don't think that GTA V was delayed for the same reason because as time goes, the engine improves and the developer, in this case Rockstar, knows the limitations of the consoles. You have to assume that GTA V will have features that have never been done before in a Rockstar title and we knows from some interviews that GTA V will without a doubt have less minigames but the quality of each of them will be certainly a big improvement so that might plays a role as well although we won't know it exactly until we hear an official statement from them regarding the reason of the delay. I remember being on a mission & decided to take a shortcut through the kids playground & whammo, there I was, flying 300 metres into the air. Totally ruined the game for me. Couldn't play it any longer & have never forgiven R* & their shoddy workmanship. Long live Ubisoft & their glitch free games, like AC3. What a flawless game that was. Epic! shattered-minds Posted March 6, 2013 Share Posted March 6, 2013 All the people saying that the game's not even on Rockstar's radar because its a different game are living in a dream world, it may not be exactly the same, but it's certainly similar and gaining enough hype that Rockstar would be aware of it. Is GTAV delayed due to Watch Dogs? No chance, but the notion that Rockstar aren't even paying attention to what other developers (competitors) are doing is ridiculous, of course they're going to be aware. It's the same with all the open world games, Rockstar will have their ear to the ground on whats happening, it may not directly affect how they're making their games and games like Saints Row may not be in the same league as GTA, but you can bet your bottom dollar that they're keeping tabs on what those devs are doing to make sure that GTA remains in another league. But no one knows the real reason other than R*, so people are just going to go along with it. I think it's perfectly true that the reason for the delay is for "polishing". But "polishing" entails a lot of things; it is a very vague, broad action when it comes to developing video games. So this doesn't necessarily just refer to fixing existing bugs or tweaking small features, although that probably does include a lot of it. The deadline in Spring they gave themselves didn't give them the development time they wanted, so they pushed the deadline to one that they felt did. What they are doing between the original release date and the final release date probably isn't all just one thing, or all for the same reason. It probably involved the feedback of multiple departments within R* North to move the date for the benefit of the workers. Given the way R* development works (most of the development happening close to the end of the development cycle, meaning huge crunch time for all employees a few months before release), the idea that R* might have originally overestimated the abilities of the employees within the amount of time they originally gave themselves sounds fairly plausible to me. Why can't anyone just face the facts that R* actually has some decent competition this time? I mean it was bound to happen sooner or later. They decided to pull the game for a lil bit and add some extra umm "polishing" to stand out more against Watch Dogs. Nothing wrong with that.
