JuiceMode
Hello GTA fans. I live a very dull life and supplement my existence with a daily countdown to the release date of GTAV. I often imagine myself playing the game and how I will spend my time. Correct me if I am wrong, but I am fairly certain that players will have the ability to douse the ground with gasoline before then setting it on fire, presumably with a match or lighter, right? There is also a screenshot of Trevor toting a gasoline carrier (my current wallpaper fyi) which is where that information originally surfaced from as I recall. Anyways, I was laying in bed the other night and a thought came to me. Will it be possible to douse an area with gasoline, but then leave without setting it ablaze? The reason I ask is because, well, I have a strong desire to enter a Cluck'n Bell and pour gasoline on all of the patrons as they eat their food. I can just picture it now, walking into the establishment and dousing gasoline down the back of back of a mans shirt as he sits and attempts to eat his food in peace (hopefully with his date to make it more entertaining for myself). I imagine pouring the gasoline onto peoples food itself will also become another pastime of mine, granted the game allows you to do so. In addition to harassing the hungry, I can also see myself employing this gasoline dumping maneuver on sunbathing girls at the beach, it may even help their tan. Entering a high end clothing store and dousing all of the merchandise with gas before then walking out without paying for any of it may be fun too, and to be honest is something I've fantasized about doing well before the announcement of GTAV. blakeney
That's certainly how they made it look, Game Informer mainly I guess... but there is a chance it will turn out Trevor and the Gas can is like a mission only thing... or even worse and you can (for some reason) only use it certain places. Oh and ps.... go see the docs dude! Tell them what you just wrote.
GTA-King
I imagine it will be very similar to gasoline execution in Manhunt 2: 1:

jamieleng
Hello JuiceMode & welcome to the forums. Funny you should mention this. I was re-reading the GI preview while sitting in the doctors waiting room today. Yes, they said the R* employee who was playing the game picked up a jerry can & poured it around a vehicle with a trail leading off & threw his Zippo on the ground. All this was gameplay & in real time. Is this something only Trevor can do. It suits his personality but I'd prefer if they could all do this. JuiceMode
Wow, that was very violent...I have no intention of lighting anyone I fire (that's where I draw the line). I just want to pour gasoline on people, and on their food. I play GTA a little differently than most, it is my goal to be as annoying as possible. Case in point, in GTAIV I would often park my car in the middle of an intersection just to laugh hysterically at how irate people would get. I also enjoyed breaking the window's of locked vehicles without actually stealing them, just to be a little sh*t. GTASA was also amazing because you could vomit in fast food restaurants in front of other people, how appetizing that must not have been for them. jamieleng
I'm gonna get a gas can & pour the whole lot on a BBQ. I like my realistic steak well done. Or create a ring of fire around a ped & see what they do.

JuiceMode
Of course it's not all I do, but finding new and creative ways to entertain myself within the game is what keeps me coming back. I tend not to rush through the story, but instead like to do a mission or two at a time, then take time out to explore and harass civilians. And to the poster above who likes BBQ, if you've ever played Hitman Absolution there is a pretty awesome "accident" murder (the best kind) that goes along those lines. Best carry around a paper bag, or stick your head between your legs, then breath rapidly & deeply.

Haha! walking into the establishment and dousing gasoline down the back of back of a mans shirt as he sits and attempts to eat his food in peace Yep, burning people is always a good pastime. Crumplet
Haha! I like your style OP, hopefully the AI in GTAV supports non violently harassing civillians a little more, I mean you "can" flip people off so i'm sure you'll utilize that feature endlessly Can't wait to flip off a police officer or a cashier. Spiders2410
If Trevor can pour gasoline anywhere he likes then one would assume that certain buildings can be burnt to the ground? Due to the scene in trailer 2, this might be possible. Although its probably just a mission.

If not, we can all play The Sims and start some radical house fires with our stoves (but only after we remove all the doors).

na89340qv0n34b09q340
I'm not so sure that pedestrians would sit still for such treatment. Maybe we could pin them between walls and cars, and they could get broken legs when you shoot them in their knees, or something like that. I think it'd be fun to use burning gasoline to block traffic, it'd make creating roadblocks a lot easier.
