openCamera is a small ASI Plugin for GTAIV & EfLC which removes bounds in Video Editor Free camera.

Now you will have more freedom to make videos like you want.

Supported versions:

  • GTA IV 1.0.7.0
  • GTA IV 1.0.4.0
  • EfLC 1.1.2.0
Download: http://bit.ly/OP_R1

Really loving the script GooD-NTS. I'm using it now and it's really great, allows for much more flexibility when making videos.

If you're really trying to "break the bounds" as your motto states, perhaps you could make a script which allows for longer capture time?

You could attempt to make a script that allows us to record longer clips than the default 45-50 second limit. The player would press F2 like normal, but instead of capturing the last few seconds, this acts as the starting point for the clip capture.

For example; player presses F2 and this initiates the start of the capture. When the player is satisfied with how long they've been recording for they would press F2 again to end the clip capture.

Of course you could always set a limit to say, 2 minutes instead of the default 45-50 seconds.

Yes it is a great idea, but I don't think it can be implemented so easy as openCamera.

Today I've spend some time to look what I can do, and with no luck now.

Hey GooD-NTS,

You are probably already aware of these minor bugs but in case you are not, I just thought I would mention them.

#1) When going beyond the default limit for the camera, setting a new key frame/marker for the clip automatically returns the camera to the default bounds of the player.

#2) When you use a key frame/marker for a camera angle that is outside the player's bounds, you can no longer move the marker to an earlier or later position in the clip like you can with marker's that are in the bounds of the player.

#3) When using a key frame/marker outside of the player's bounds, trying to make that marker go linear into another marker doesn't work. Refer back to #1.

If these issues can be worked around that would be great. I'd just like your thoughts on these points.

Really would like to use this in whatever functionality I can get out of it. However, even when using it (IV 1040) there is no observable difference to the camera in the editor. Runnin latest scripthook, xliveless, icenhancer d3d9 (2.1), varying texture/model mods.
