WestSide9251
Hi. I have lag on my GTA IV (Patch 7). I'm using LENOVO Y500 Laptop with 2 GeForce GT650M 2GB videocards working in SLI mode, quad-core i7 3rd Gen processor 3.4GHz, 8GB RAM. As you can see these specs are not bad, and one of the reasons why i bought it was to play GTA IV confortable. But i can't. When i''m around water the game lags (when i'm on the city-like times square it does not). Also the lights are blinking and its making me crazy. Nvidia ControlPanel says the drivers are version 306.00 DX11. Why that's happening,is there a fix?
Prometheus
Perhaps you have the Water Quality [at the Graphics tab] set to High or Very High?

SlaveZer0
Turn off SLI for this game... problem solved, this game runs like $hit using SLI. in the 3d part of nvidia control panel there is a tab to set for specific games, just set GTA: IV to not use sli and you are golden. WestSide9251
Disabling SLI makes IV to lag even more. I clicked on the AutoConfigure option in the graphics tab to the game can make its own settings, and except water everything else was not blinking. But the game is lagging even more. It's crazy. WestSide9251
Im sorry but it is a well known fact that this game doesnt play nice with sli And there is no patch or fix? R* Games...never again. If they think to release GTA V for PC with the same optimization they did on GTA IV then better don't release it for PC. It's so unoptimized..
