Prometheus
Where did you get the game from? Is there any patches, tweaks, cracks or mods installed? vv Thief Edited March 4, 2013 by PrometheusX
Miro
Where do you have the game from? Are you using any mods? Do you play with the original DVD in your Drive? You could try to install these: Games for Windows Live Update & Episodes from Liberty City Patch 1.1.2.0. Or, in case that doesn't work, try to run the game as administrator and in Windows 98 / Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode. Or even try to un-install and re-install the game. Good luck. mire
Okay, I guess I don't actually have the 1.1.2.0 patch, although the option to play L&D & Gaytony pops up ingame, hum, okay, f*ck that. Anyway, I tried installing the 1.1.2.0 patch link you gave me, Miromiro, but it threw this at me when I tried using the setup: "Failed installing the update. See log at C:/Users/Harry/Appdata/Local/Microsoft/GFWLive/Install/Logs/Titleupdate.logs for details" WUT??
Prometheus
There are two executables, correct? I think it only works with TitleUpdate.msi.

mire
Wait wait, I just made a backup file of my GTA IV incase I f**ked up the first one, put the titleupdate in the backup and it seems to be doing something, slowly... It's hunting for installed applications.

mire
Well, that sucks. Any other suggestions from this point onwards then? >_<
Prometheus
No need to quadruple post, just use the edit button. Anyways have you tried the rest of what miro suggested? Also again where did you get the game from? if it's a digital version then it most likely comes with the latest patch installed.

mire
No it's not a digital, unfortunately i'm currently using a crack as i couldn't get my stupid discs installation to work. Yes I've tried what Miromiro said, the titleupdate in that 1.1.2.0 just tells me that I need to run the setup, which gives me- "Failed installing the update. See log at C:/Users/Harry/Appdata/Local/Microsoft/GFWLive/Install/Logs/Titleupdate.logs for details"
Miro
But I've already told you that almost nothing fixes a cracked game. What problems do you have while you're trying to install the game from the disc? Are there any errors popping up? Please remove the crack, since it won't help you in ANY way.
