Hey, I noticed there are no topics on this game.

 

 

I dunno if anyone has noticed, but the Gamers Edition (360 Port, much, much better graphics than the boxed copies) is now available for digital download again, from what I've searched it went off the market around 08?

 

If anyone is interested I can get the link then, its $9.99 @ Gamestop (Digital Download only I think), I just bought it and its downloading, only ever played the PS2 port (boxed edition) demo of it, hoping the Gamers Edition is better, and from searching it seems almost no one could run it at the time.

 

Anyone have it? Any screenshots? I figured you can't go wrong for $9, never bought the game, only played the demo, but I really liked the DX7/8 demo from ages ago. (Atleast the FPS portion, hunting a T-rex with spears? Very intense, atleast it seemed so years ago when it was new)

 

I'll post screens then probably once its done, 5.5GB download so it won't take long.

This game is awesome.

 

No really, its seriously awesome, I had it on Xbox and its seriously as juicy as Stephen Fry's earlobe. It has a focus on survival over just shooting, for example you can stab some food with a spear, throw it at a group of giant centipedes and then run past them. The enemy AI is awesome and Skull Island feels alive. You also get to play as Kong and beat the sh*t out of dinosaurs.

 

You also get to hear all the actors from the film return for their roles. Honestly, the only really bad part is the ending levels in New York as they feel really rushed but then again swinging off the top of the Empire State Building makes up for that for an epic conclusion. Its a great game.

It was one of my first Xbox 360 games back in the days, it's an underrated game IMO as it has one of the best gameplay mechanics in a FPS game.
