Theist - 100% certain one or more gods exist

Ag-theist - Not certain but think one or more gods probably exist

Ag-atheist - Not certain but think there's probably no gods

Atheist - 100% sure no gods exist

 

 

Using this, the most rational position to take is agnostic-atheist. But I don't use this and just say 'f*ck it, I'm an atheist' for simplicity.

you're splitting hairs that don't need to be split.

 

someone can be religious in the denominational sense (Christian, Jew, Muslim).

someone can be religious in the non-denominational sense (spiritual, pagan, nature, "theist").

and then someone can be non-religious.

 

if you're not religious you can be agnostic or atheist.

agnostic is just the pussy version of atheist. it's like someone who wants to give up smoking but instead of just quitting they bum one of those electronic cigarettes.

 

if you're agnostic you're atheist.

you might still be in the closet a little, but you're well on your way to atheism.

Well some people use four categories; you're either theist, agnostic-theist, agnostic-atheist or atheist.

In addition are deists, who believe a god created the universe. Theists tend to be more religious and believe to prophets and miracles and whatnot.

Agreed, all my agnostic friends act so much like my atheist friends I can't tell. One of my friend says he's agnostic but I've kept telling him he's an atheist for so long due to how he almost always hates upon religion, mine in particular. We're still good friends though.
