Travís.
I do not currently have a computer, but would like to purchase one for a reasonable price, or build one from scratch that would run gta IV on high, this PC will be for games only.
yoječ
Define "reasonable price".
SlaveZer0
Look at my pc specs below... it is a little over a thousand dollars, and natively plays GTA: IV at all high settings... if you dont need the second video card or make the video a GTX 680, youll be under a thousand and good to go for GTA: V also

SlaveZer0
demo windows 7 must be fun reformatting all the time... get a real copy of windows man, what your doing is as bad as piracy
unc13bud
how can it be "as bad as piracy", when Microsoft released it themselves! i didn't say i have windows 7 with current updates or using exploits to make windows behave as already activated. i'm not downloading any of their security updates, the machines ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET, SAVE FOR INSTALLING GTA IV\EFLC list 1. i have to build new low-budget machines constantly to prove how bad your (and the other terminal upgraders) advice is. I don't want to "spend" my licenses just to prove you wrong, when its so easy in the first place 2. rockstar games and other game companies have made games require so many registry hooks and spyware, its foolish to use one of my windows licenses just to run GTA IV - you have to install GFWL\Steam\Origin\RGSC all of which use unnecessary resources and conflict with each other on occasion. and that's not even mentioning Ubisoft\EA policies of requiring constant internet connection (with failing servers) or Securom

unc13bud
the title of the topic says "how to run GTA IV on high settings", not "how to run every other game out there with its software hangups on high" and most games in the near future are 360 and ps3 ports anyway. unc13bud
http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2012/08/under-th...1500-gaming-pc/ i would get a 2gb gtx 670\680 if available. basically that and a overclocked intel i5 CPU - because i have noticed difference between i5-750 and x4 975 @1920x1200 = both stock clocks and overclocked (3.4 vs 3.92)
