imagine driving in the thick snow and your car slipping or crashes. what if you are on a high speed chase and your car crashes and falls through the high way. What if there will be different inches and maybe ice or no ice. As I recall, game informer announced there will be real live forecasting and weather stations that actually tell real live weather that's probably linked to snow. i honestly would love to drive in snow.

I think there will be snow in in one small area of the highest mountains, like in RDR. And it probably won't be a "season" because that would be too hard to implement. It would be there all the time, kind of a re-imagined non-seasonal version of the seasonal snowpack that hits the highest mountains in So Cal.

 

When you are driving in the snowy mountains, yes, the radio could inject a report about snow warnings in Rockstar wanted to implement that. But there can be no snow in the rest of Los Santos and the countryside.

I said "Kind of" because I believe there will be a portion of the map with snow, but I don't think we're at the point of seeing falling snow as a weather effect, especially not in LA. Maybe the first next gen GTA will be set in Boston or Chicago, where snowfall would make more sense.

In Assassins creed 3 there were some periods in the game where there is snow..

 

So it wouldn't be anything NEW, but I would really really really like it in GTAV: drifting in the snow!!

Your the arrogant and wrong one. I currently live in LA and the most it ever snows is a third of an inch and that was a long time ago. But if you go to the mountains you can see a lot of snow there.

I'm in L.A. and snowboard/ski resorts are about an hour or two away (Arrowhead, Big Bear, Mammoth, Mountain High)... That being said, I don't expect snow IN Los Santos but the surrounding mountain peaks may be an exception, but who knows but R*

Definitely a YES! Coming from a tropical country, I'd love to experience living in the snow (even if it's virtual). BUT this is Los Santos, a city that sees as much snow as I do, so unless you're talking about mountain resorts and such, no snow.

L.A is a warm environment, they don't get snow in the city often, or even rain. when it does snow, it's usually half an inch or less, and doesn't stay long at all.

 

the only place where snow would be realistic would be in the mountain tops, but even then I have a strong feeling R* is going to omit snow to focus on detail in other areas. (R* are perfectionists, right now the technology isn't strong enough for the kind of quality of snow R* would aim for.)

 

I also feel that due to engine limitations, we may not see much in the way of snow either.
