DeathMatch | Races | Mafiya Work

 

Event is designed to crown the best player on the forum on ps3, instead of a stupid voting system, the player who wins this event, has proven he is the best.

Hopefully a member of forum staff, will also recognise this event, and give the winning player their earned pixelated reward and cash prize of $0.

 

 

Event has 24 places available, randomly the players will be halved into four groups of 6 or .

These will then compete in the set modes, with the top 3 qualifying to the final round.

GENERAL RULES

 

No Modding, No Turbo, No f*cking off to other islands with objectives (MW), No letting a friend kill you, No excuses for not showing up, No second chances to replay games, No disrespecting to eachother, No driving backwards (racing).

 

Please be patient, check the topic, share your input, and try to be on time, Be cool with eachother, and make the event run smoothly by not keeping others waiting, and informing myself or others if you can't make it to the games.

 

Top 3 players in each round, get points. Top 3 players after the 3 rounds, qualify. If two players end on equal points, they both go through.

 

Make a note of the scores if possible - take picture.

 

If you expect someone is cheating, share your concerns.

But I second Grease, Remove Mafiya Work, unlike it's team variation I find playing Mafiyia work to very much rely of luck of spawn.

I'd personally also like to see Races removed as in my history MvP has always been about straight combat, but that I push lesser.

I can agree with you about the spawns of the mafia work, but it also takes skill in that it will be a free-for-all, meaning that you must be able to defend yourself while completing tasks without any help from team mates. This also works the other way around, it gives the players with sh*tty spawns a chance to complete the objective, if for example the job would be to deliver a car or a person, the player could intercept the other player and "steal" the task

Mafiya work lacks the constancy a tournament requires for correct scoring.

 

I really feel that Car Jack City would be a better option, far less variables.

As I'm sure we all know a Mafiya Work game can greatly differ depending on the objectives.

Andy could but meta is on Xbox . The reason Meta was voted for most valuable player was because he run's the GTAF Social Club on Max Payne 3.

MW essentially is more about the shooting, there are small driving segments but ultimately they're useless because the better shooter will win anyway, there are more shooting objectives than anything. 10 points max for racing, 20 for shooting.

I've never got a proper chance at Car Jack City as it's always empty, but yeah good idea.

Basically, you steal a car and deliver it to one of the highlighted zones.

 

Two Types of Cars, stock and drug packed.

Payment/Score will depend on the condition of the car, unless it's stuffed with drugs.

Drug cars can be beaten to hell and you still get the same amount of cash,

usually two or three times the rate of an undamaged stock car.

 

The only A.I consists of 2-6 Guys protecting the car with AK's or SMG's.

 

The rest of the combat is player based.

Wow was not expecting so many to sign up so soon. Good to see people are keen to compete for this.

 

I think enjoi said it perfectly, regarding Mafiya Work.

I completely disagree about it being about just luck. Anyone recently tried beating Madmonk and GoGoKilla in the 2 vs 2 event? They’ve not lost in 5 games, so is it because they are getting lucky everytime?

 

No it’s because they have the best map knowledge, driveby and team work. Now obviously there is no team work here, but MW will test the latter two, driveby and map knowledge, as well as driving.

 

Essentially it’s the mode, most in line with what GTA is all about, doing varied missions received from a phone call. So it has to stay, if you don’t like it, tough.

Out of all the modes, I personally think it will be the most fun. (A lot funner than Car Jack City would be, there is a very good reason nobody plays that sh*t, it's boring , it's like the ugly sister of Mafia Work, hell a few missions in the collection that MW throws at you, are just like CJC! )

 

If players keep signing up to this as they have been so far, I will extend the event to having further qualifiers (if 24 players join, then it becomes…)

But the thing is, it's more shooting oriented then. If it's deathmatch, 2 races and MW then it's not best GTA player all around, it's just the best shooter. Shooters can get 20 points max from TMW and DM, and racers can only get 10. It's unbalanced.

 

MW is slightly about GTA, regarding vehicles are used, but they're very rarely used. Even if a good driver gets somewhere first, they'll just get killed a few seconds later by a bunch of shooters anyways.

 

It's about the shooting, so it's not really my type of event so I won't sign up yet. I'll lose, no chance of me winning.

Variation doesn't work in Tournament games AJ.

It needs to be consistent, for equal scoring.

 

I'm not saying it's just luck for Team Mafiya Work as that require Teamwork.

But in a solo environment, Mafia Work is very much a luck of spawn game.

 

Also to pass CJC off so quickly is kinda sad, it's a decent mode with players.

I agree with Reaper here. Solo MW is essentially a deathmatch, except you're just running to one place and doing the 1 on 1 there. Solo MW isn't about tactical gameplay, using driving etc, it's about being lucky to spawn near an arbitrary location, and being better at deathmatches once there.

In my experience it's sh*t, and dead . I played IV a lot , so I'm not passing it off quickly at all, I'm speaking from that experience, if you want to organise games of CJC , be my guest and if the feedback is positive , I'll definitely change this here, I see your point about luck , but luck can happen in every mode involving spawns and GTA's occasional wtf moments! If you think MW is all luck, go play vs Madmonk or another guy with experience in it, if it's luck like a coin toss, perhaps you'll win as many as you lose, but I sincerely doubt that .
