Personally, I was thinking of it before we got the actual relase date. Now I visit GTA Forums rarely, like once a week, how about you guys

Gta V is dead for me, and worse since the delay announcement and then Ps4 taking over, Gta V is pretty much nothing for me right now.

I visit GTAF daily just like before the announced date/delay, but I no longer think about V when I'm not on the forum. Well I do, but very rarely. Before the delay, I thought about V at least once a day and had a dream about V at least once a month. Now all that is gone.

 

Still, at least time's passing. It's comforting to know this. To know that it is inevitable for us all to be playing GTAV, eventually. The year is already 1/6 over. By the time GTAV comes out, the year will be 4.5/6 over. So we only have 3.5/6 of a year until V...

I think R* is cooling down fans a little bit so fans don't feel that the delay is a delay and maybe in May there will be a new trailer so we have to be patient and the game is worth waiting where now yet not that hyped but then we'll be hyped again and ready to continue , when something new comes out everyone will become hyped again

I'm really more excited for Mafia 3 than GTA 5 at this period of time and I think Mafia 3 will be released on next-gen consoles so I'll have to wait

But since it's coming out right about the time the PS3 will become irrelevant, I don't care much anymore. Rockstar really dropped the ball this time. Hopefully they port it to the new systems. Otherwise, this game is pretty much worthless.

To be honest, I am not obsessed with it anymore. I used to play IV like crazy in hype for V, but then Rockstar delayed the game and decided to give us another info drought. Quite frankly, this has decreased my hype for the game, care for the game, and has sort of ruined my respect for Rockstar games. I say that because, now I'll remember them as the company who can't even market a game correctly anymore.

 

I've been hyped for Grand Theft Auto V since May(the 23rd to be exact), but I'm just getting tired of this piss poor marketing, the info droughts. One time we get news, then a drought, then some more news, then another drought. When will there ever be constant news? This is silly - the marketing is just like the infrastructure planning in my area, it sucks.

 

So that's how I feel. I don't exactly think about it as much as I used to anymore.

PS2 was relevant until 2007, when God of War 2 came out.

 

PC release will most likely be next year, but don't get your hopes up for a next gen port; at least not for now.

I voted "A lot" because I have been hooked on the anticipation of GTAV ever since I saw the first scene in the Trailer on 2 November 2011. But of course the next 15 months after that have been mostly pain due to lack of marketing, with a few pulse of happiness.

Well said. I can't stay away from the GTAV Forum because I need to check for the possibility that there could be more to learn about GTAV. I actually do a have a life and other things to do, but I am compelled to check in on GTAV Forum as often as possible. Sad but true.

I can understand that. Too bad, I was looking forward to paying my virtual trash bill, ever since I saw the accurately rendered trash cans in the foreclosure scene in GTAV Trailer #1. Actually it turns out, the escalating price of trash pickup by the city of LA is a big issue now, due ironically to the excess of police that they hired in the last 4 years, and the cost of the pension plan for police and fire. So it really does all revolve around the economy these days -- who's getting theirs and who's getting screwed.

This statement suddenly made it crystal clear to me, finally, what Rockstar marketing is doing. They get told by Rockstar management, "Start the marketing, the game is coming out in 6 months," and then a couple weeks later, management comes back and says, "Wait, hold up, the devs tell us the game is going to take longer, so stop saying anything and maybe people will forget about GTAV so we won't be embarrassed by marketing a game that does not exist. Maybe the public will forget about that first trailer. And the second trailer." It makes sense that this has been the reason for the silences. Rockstar thinks we have very short memories. That's probably true of the entire gaming public except for this forum.

Your must be a moron, first off how will announcing PS4 hurt the sales of GTA V when we dont even have a release date for the PS4 yet for all you know it could be released in 2015 but even if it was released at the end of this year people will still buy GTA V.

Oh yeah, most definitely. I mean who in their right mind would give two hoots about V when we've got the next generation of console games (with all the micro transaction bullcrap that they will be designed for) just around the corner. As soon as the PS4 is released, I'm just going to throw my PS3 out the window. I'm not even going to bother selling it on eBay, because seriously who would want such an outmoded piece of ancient technology?

Not really. The delay doesn't annoy as much as I thought it would. I'm actually glad. Because in the end, we get a better game than we would of got if it released in Spring
