GTA Vice City Sunshine Autos Asset Walkthroughs

What and where?

Sunshine Autos also known as Sun Yard is a car showroom which is located in Vice City just South of Little Havana. It can be bought by Tommy Vercetti in GTA Vice City as one of the asset businesses in the game. It also appeared in GTA Vice City Stories, but it is only a place where Vic Vance can buy cars and participate in Street Races. But in GTA Vice City it is a asset business. To gain access to the showroom you will have to buy it for $50,000, so make sure you have the paper before going to buy it. Once you buy it you will see that it is merely a glass box with only a Sentinel in it and a save cassette. But no, believe me you gotta make the the magic work and make it a superb car showroom. When you buy it you will see that there is a little ramp like an underground passage, go down it and check it out. You will see that it holds a Pay n' Spray, a set of garages and another non-working garage. Totally sh*t, the garage won't work, you will hate it but one day you will love it lol.gifSome poetry huh!!. This non-working garage is the garage that is gonna change the showroom forever. Well, I will tell you later about that. Now the location.

The Location

The Car Showroom is located on the second island-so make sure you have unlocked it and done the mission Shakedown at the Vercetti Estate successfully. The easiest way to see the location is look at your map. Sunshine Autos is located directly east from Escobar International Airport. To get there from the main island go to Vice Port and stay on theroad once you are in Vice Port take your first right then at the intersection take another right and to your right there will be an empty grass land and right turn and you will see your Sunshine Autos. If you didn't understand look at the image given below.

The building encircled by red is the Sunshine Autos Car Showroom

Now What???

Now that you have bought the showroom and saved successfully. Lets get on with improving the showroom and completing the asset. Actually, $50,000 is very cheap as you will probably have opportunities to earn far more than that wink.gif . To complete the asset of the showroom you have to complete a list which includes some vehicles for export. Pretty easy.huh. No!!! Finding some cars will be downright hard and some even may take some hours to find nervous.gif . You will also see near the Pay n' Spray there is a pink mission marker which will hold some awesome, illegal six street races which will make you win not Kudos but $$$Cash$$$. Sunshine Autos will have some working garages which you can use to store your favourite vehicles in them.

Some Important Tips in Finding Cars

*When finding cars try to have no-wanted level, because you might trash your car and end it in a carcass

*Drive carefully. Sometimes you bring it all the way just to flip it over and be frustrated

*If you get a wanted level save the car in the nearest garage and restart the game, if not go to a Pay n' Spray.

*If a Pay n' Spray is not any where near. Get OUT from the car but leave the door open. To leave the door open, when you press the Enter/exit button press the arrow keys or shoot somewhere JUST as Tommy gets down from the car. Its not hard. Then get in another car and lose the heat. Don't worry your car will be there, unless you save your game. Most of time I have come to spots where I have left my car even after about days in Vice City.

*When looking for cars look in correct places. A Infernus won't spawn in the Little Haiti or a poor class car won't spawn in rich areas. Also if you drive a rich car more rich cars will spawn in the streets. So, search wisely.

*Try to get cars from fixed locations. Because they are easy. smile.gif

*A car will spawn in a fixed location almost 100% of the time. If the car haven't spawn take a trip around the block and arrive slowly to the spawn point

*The main thing when driving your car to the Import/Export garage drive carefully and use your common sense. smile.gif

The Car Lists

Below image shows the location of the wanted car list and Import/ Export Garage

Look at the second image. It shows the Import/Export list and the garage. There will be four lists of Wanted cars. To unlock the second car list you should complete the first list by popping the wanted cars in the Import/Export garage. The Import/Export garage will only open for a car that is wanted. Here is a table with the wanted car lists in order.

Car List 01

Car List 1

Landstalker

Idaho

Esperanto

Stallion

Rancher

Blista Compact

Noted something about the above cars? Not some of your usual driving cars,eh? Yeas, they are some middle class cars which are a little bit hard to find cars. But don't worry I will help you in the locations.

Landstalker

Brief

user posted image

The Landstalker is a jeep which is a little hard to find. Driving another jeep such as Rancher will make it spawn on the streets.

Location

*The Landstalker have 2 fix locations in Vice City. It spawns in a house in Starfish Island and Downtown Dirt Track. Taking it from the 1st location is easy because the Downtown one will trigger the mission Trial by Dirt, to avoid the mission push the Landstalker to some place by sprinting into it or by ramming it with a vehicle. But still, the Starfish Island is easy and nearer.

Here are images of location :

Landstalker in Starfish Island and its map

Landstalker in Dwontown Dirt Track and its map

Tips

]*The Landstalker does not have awesome and handling. So watch your speed.

*And be careful when you are taking these bends as you will flip your car when taking it at high speeds.

Idaho

Brief

user posted image

The Idaho is a two door with a soft top and found commonly in Downtown, Prawn Island and sometimes in Little Haiti. It have an average status handling so beware when driving it.

Locations

This car doesn't have any fixed location in Vice City. But you will find one in Downtown, Prawn Island and Little Haiti. Driving a Sabre might make it spawn.

Here are some images of it when I found Idahos in my game.

Idaho

Idaho locations

The red circle in the second image shows the places where I found Idahos frequently.

Tips

*Sometimes the Idaho spawns when you get wasted and appear from the hospital Downtown

* Very often saving the game at Hyman Condo and reloading it (several times may be required) will result in Idaho spawning on the roads nearby.

Esperanto

Brief

user posted image

Another one like Idaho. But this car is little hard to find than it. Driving Sabres in Downtown, Prawn Island, Little Haiti and Little Havana will make it spawn.

Locations

Like I said above this car have no spawn points and finding one can be a little hard. I always find them in Downtown when driving Sabres.

Here are some images where I found Esperantos in Vice City

Esperanto

Esperanto Locations

Tips

Nothing to give as a tip. Just drive carefully and don't flip in the bends. icon14.gif

Stallion

Brief

user posted image

The Stallion is a frequent car in Vice City. You can see this car used by Lance Vance in the mission Rub Out. You will mostly see this car in Prawn Island.

Location

*The Stallion spawns frequently in Prawn Island, drive an Idaho or Sabre and it will spawn everywhere.

*It have a fixed location in Multi-storey Car Park in Ocean Beach and spawns there every time on the top floor.Once you get in the car the mission Cone Crazy will trigger, but push the Stallion by either by ramming it with a car or sprinting in to it-for less damage.

Pictures of Stallions

The Stallion in Multi-storey car park, it spawns on the top floor.

The location of it on the map.

Push the Stallion to somewhere near hear.

Rancher

user posted image

Ranchers are the most common SUVs in Vice City. They are easy to find but I think that when it is wanted for Export in SunYard it doesn't spawn a lot. But you will always find one around North Point Mall Road or Vice Point.

Location

*The Rancher doesn't have any fixed spawn points but there are some ways of acquiring it. wink.gif

*First method- Get a Landstalker from here or here and keep driving around Starfish Island or North Point MallIt spawns frequently in Vice Point in my game the Rancher will spawn.

*Second method-Get full armor and full health and trigger a five star wanted level, the feds will come for you in black four door Ranchers called FBI Ranchers. Nick one of them, it will be hard because they have MP5s and shoot rapidly at you. If you manage to nick one, LOOSE THE HEAT and keep driving for a Rancher to appear. I think the first method is easier.

Images of Rancher.

A Rancher and I find it mostly in these areas. icon14.gif

Tips

*If you have trouble finding the Rancher take a car and keep driving slowly in Ocean Beach and you will find one. smile.gif

*Be careful because the Rancher doesn't have good handling but it have better handling than Landstalker. The Rancher doesn't topple but will skid rarely.

Blista Compact

user posted image

The Blista Compact is most of the GTA players favourite car. It have a good look, awesome handling and good top speed. But, unfortunately this have no fixed spawn point and finding one can be a little tough.

Locations

*This cute car doesn't have any spawn point, but is often seen driving around Starfish Island, Downtown (sometimes), Ocean Beach and is often seen parked int he underground car park in Marina.

Images of Blista Compact and Frequent Locations

The Blista Compact and here is the underground car park where the Blista Compact frequently.

Tips

*If the Blista Compact doesn't spawn in the under-ground car park. Try finding it in the multi-storey car park where the Stallion spawns.

If you have popped all cars in order like I have posted......

Congratulations!!!, You have completed the first Import/Export List and have acquired the asset of Sunshine Autos.

Rewards

As a reward for all your hard work a surprise car will spawn in the Showroom and an asset of $1500. Make sure you collect it everyday.

user posted image

The Deluxo is RARE sports car which spawns only on Sunshine Autos and is not driven by any ped in Vice City. Unless, they jack your Deluxo..

NOTE: You have completed the asset of Sunshine Autos and progressing by completing other Import/Export lists only results in game progress and loads of assets. If you have completed the first list you can still gain access to the Final missions.

You will see a black Washington which is called as the FBI Washington, it can be taken to do the Vigilinate missions. Get in it and keep driving it around the streets and one like this will spawn.

Images for Washington

Here is a image of a regular Washington. Here is a map which shows the places where the Washington spawns.

*The Caddy can be found in the Leaf Link Golf Club and in the streets near it. The Golfers driving the Caddies are aggressive ad sometimes they don't stop for anything. So taking it from the above location is most advisable.

The Hotring Racer can be said as the second fastest car in the game. It have amazing handling and a lightning fast top speed. This is the car that is most suitable for the street races.

Now as you have finished the Import/Export Garage and completed the asset of Sunshine Autos, you have one more thing to do. That is "ILLEGAL STREET RACING". Sounds fun, right??'

It is really fun but believe me, it is also tough specially when the opponents have awesome Inferni, Cheetahs and Banshees nervous.gif . But I will help you do them with some good tips and some cheats that_guy2057_evilgrin.gif ...

There are a total of 6 races in Sunshine Autos,

Race #1

Terminal Velocity

Distance- 1.1 Miles

Entrance Fee- $100

Winning money- $400

Race #2

Ocean Drive

Length -1.652 Miles

Entrance Fee -$500

Winning Money -$2,000

Race #3

Border Run

Length- 1.926 Miles

Entrance Fee- $1,000

Winning Money- $4,000

Race #4

Capital Cruise

Length- 2.438 Miles

Entrance Fee- $2,000

Winning Money- $8,000

Race #5

Tour!

Length- 2.86 Miles

Entrance Fee- $5,000

Winning Money- $20,000

Race #6

V.C. Endurance

Length- 6.1 Miles

Entrance Fee- $10,000

Winning Money- $40,000

What is the purpose of racing? Does it increase the Asset?

No, it doesn't increase your asset. But it gives you easy money. The winning money is calculated as "Entrance Fee*4= Winning money". So if you win every race as 1st you will earn $74400!!! Cool, huh. And you can race again and win the same amount. Likewise, you can replay the races and earn money a lot.

Where do I start the race?

Go to the Import/Export Garage beside it there will be a pink marker below a board saying "Vice City Racer- Earn Cash not Kudos" that is true you are gonna win a lot of money from these races. smile.gif

This is the pink marker I'm talking about

What are the vehicles most suitable for these races?

It is very important to choose a car with good speed, handling and acceleration.Caddies, Boxvilles, Packers and Baggage Handlers are totally junk when participating these races. I think the most suitable vehicles are given below.

Super Angel (from the mission Alloy Wheels of Steel): This bike is awesome and will beat any car with its handling and acceleration. But unfortunately, if you have saved this bike in a garage its special abilities will disappear. confused.gif

Hotring Racer: The best car for street races. You will find the races a piece of cake if you use a Hotring racer.

Infernus: Maybe the 2nd best car to use in the Street Races this is because it skids and gets out of control when taking bends at high speed. So if you're using one try slowing down a bit when turning.

Cheetah: I think this is better than Infernus in handling. It never skids and its good speed will help you win the race. But it still the Hotring Racer is better.

Banshee: Same as the Cheetah. But I think it have less speed than that. Not sure though.

PCJ 600: I warn you not to use this vehicle unless you are a damn good biker. Because when you're driving at high speeds the slightest touch can make you thrown out of the bike. confused.gif

Cuban Hermes: This vehicle is not suitable but it seems pretty rad when racing with it. I won the first race with this car in 1:05. Not bad, huh? icon14.gif

Tips for the Races

-The main thing is "GET A FAST CAR" you will need speed and handling a lot.

-Try to cut corners to overtake your opponents

-Never take a bike-unless it is the Super Angel-you will find yourself being hit and thrown away from your bike due to the ruthless opponents.

-Try to get familiar with the race course so you will know where to go.

-When approaching the marker where you start the race, get a good distance behind your opponents and speed up to the race marker, don't drive into the marker though.Tap or just touch a opponent with the side of your car, this is because the race starts if you hit n opponent. Now when the race starts you already have speed while the others will take some time to pick up and accelerate. icon14.gificon14.gif

A Cheat

To this cheat you will need a RPG, which you can get by collecting 70 hidden packages or from here. The RPG will be in a pool. Don't drive your car in it because you will never be able to take it back. Now head to a mission and park your car somewhere go and aim the RPG like this at the opponents and SHOOT. They will end up like this Now since the opponents are dead you can win the race at a snail's pace.
