VATG
so the game getting delayed, im cool with that np, but damn 4 months that ALMOST half a year, then the boxart reveal getting delayed as well, np, i dont give a f*ck about the boxart tbh. you (r*) said the game isn't ready yet, np, i want the best game as possible plus its not like we have a choice they can keep delaying it as long as they want, we cant do sh*t about that and we all gonna buy it even if it will be released in 2015, but why giving us the silent treatment? all of us here are GTA V potential buyers why do you treat us like that? and don't give me that "they don't owe us nothing" bs, we are the real stock holders in r* we the supporters/fans call it the f*ck you wanna call it, in the end of the day we buy the game and when all of us here were disappointed of the game delay all you have to say was "thank you for your patience" what? f*ck you i don't have no patience! give us a timeline for a new info something to except for... im sure they have their own PR plan timeline but sh*t happens, the game got delayed, sh*t just hit the fans, throw us a bone, something is better than nothing. so bottom line you said our game need more polish np what better way to show us that then to release a "GTA V Development Series" video's? SHOW US (from what you can for now) what are you doing SHARE WITH US the experience and process. R* we love you and trust you but this is a journey you must SHARE with us this is the last gta game of this gen, we all know its gonna be special, it would make the wait so much easier... thats it, sorry but i had to share my thoughts with y'all... good morning/good afternoon/good night choose your timezone. im out, peace/pissed. Deffpony
As Im sure others will state as well, we dont deserve anything, and we arent entitled to anything. I know you said not to use that defense but its just the truth. They are putting out a product and if you feel wronged by them, than dont buy the game. What people have to understand is that Rockstar isnt maliciously with holding information from us. It is there market strategy and it works for the most part. Many people dont want GTA to turn into COD or Assassins Creed marketing style. We dont want to have the game ruined for us before we play it. We dont want that much exposure. We just want the overview of why this game is better than the last, and the rest we can experience on our own. The game isnt due out for half a year. There isnt going to be any significant info until we are at least 4 months away from release, if we are lucky.
meson1
You, like so many others, are experiencing a false sense of entitlement. There is no injustice here, merely a need for a little patience. We are ever so nearly there. Peace.
Deffpony
I know it sucks man. None of us are happy about the wait. But its necessary. Remember how excited you were when you were a kid before christmas. Imagine if one christmas your parents let you open all your presents on december 1st, but you couldnt play with them. Then on December 15th you got to take them out of the boxes, but still not play with them. Then on December 24th, you got to watch someone else play with all your toys all day. Then finally on christmas day, they were all yours. Dont you think that christmas would suck???
Lelouch The Zero
Rockstar delayed GTA V so that we can see posts like this.
Dick Justice
You know what you deserve? The ability to play the game when it comes out. You aren't owed anything more than that.
Prometheus
As meson mentioned, you just need to be patient. You survived almost one whole year with no info, so you could definitely wait a couple of more months till the new screenshots, info and previews kick in. BlackNoise
I don't agree with the "we deserve...!" aspect, but I would like see some development stuff. I don't want it now, but I would actually buy a special edition if it came with a soundtrack and a well designed "making of" documentary. It's not really R*'s style though. There were videos showcasing just about everything in that game. When it finally came out, not a lot of people were that hyped anymore and were generally bored with it. They felt like they had already played the game and seen everything that there was to see. All these people begging for so much info, part of me believes that you won't even buy the game. You'll just watch a Lets Play. What the hell ever happened to discovering things on your own and actually playing the game? Someone once said to me "We barely have any info on the game. Blah blah. We need more info. Blah blah. How else are we going to know if we want to buy the game or not? Blah blah." It was the most retarded thing I had ever read. We already know what to expect from a Grand Theft Auto game. We have been shown screenshots showcasing vehicles, hinting towards weapon customization, locations etc. We have two trailers. The Game Informer article went in a bit deeper, introducing some of the characters, giving us the main idea of the story, some of the new features and gameplay mechanics, the settings, more on vehicles and weapons and a bunch of other things that I can't even remember. Point is, we actually know a f*cking good amount about the game and what to expect from it. Enough to let you know whether or not you should buy it, which shouldn't even be an issue if you're a "fan" of the series. There's no excuse to cry and throw a tantrum every day Rockstar doesn't give you more info.
Johan
Deserve? It's not the first time in the gaming industry people have faced problems like this and in the end they get to play the game and nothing more.. what makes us so special?
grandola
Its annoying, it sucks (the wait), but oh well... I will say tho, I'm not expecting too, too, much but it would really suck if the game came out and the general consensus was the game was a let down. Lol... There's no excuse to cry and throw a tantrum every day Rockstar doesn't give you more info. I get what you're saying, but I don't really understand the concept of hype and why it matters? I didn't play SRTT, but it did pretty well and many people loved the gameplay videos and still bought the game. You're completely exaggerating about that game BTW. You're jumping to ridiculous conclusions about the people who want more info. Some of us don't care about certain aspects being revealed in story or gameplay videos when it comes to GTA V, because we are fans of R*. They never show off too much. I watched every second of every video they released for RDR and I still play that game like many other fans. There were a ton of surprises I didn't expect from watching the gameplay videos. I agree people shouldn't be whining for more info, but I disagree about what more info means. Wanting surprises and discovering things on your own is a personal choice, which is why I avoid videos and images of certain games I plan on purchasing. But everybody is different, so you can't expect everybody to care about that aspect.
