1. How did you discover GTA? Did someone introduce you to it?

 

I can't pinpoint the first time I became aware of GTA's existence - it would seem I always knew about it or had already heard it's name - but I do remember first reading about GTA in a gaming magazine when I was quite young, around 9 years old. I was filled with wonder and would daydream about my idea of what GTA was, which was a game in which could you do everything and anything and live in a virtual reality! Of course at this time in my life I didn't know much about the capabilities nor boundaries of video games and never saw too many to see what they were actually like; I believed them capable of anything! Nevertheless, I was not disappointed when I first got my little hands on a Grand Theft Auto.

 

2. What was the first GTA? What platform was it on?

 

GTA3 The only console I had at the time was a GameCube, which was my first console as well. I had been using it for three years and when I was about 10 or 11 years of age I decided to move onto a PS2, which I knew had GTA. I didn't want to ask my parents for GTA3, so I told my older sister to buy it for me while I was at school, making her useful for once in her life I remember specifically asking for GTA3 as well, I wanted the "New York" one - my friends had told me there were three types, I guess I always preferred Liberty City.

 

3. How did it feel - to play GTA for the first time?

 

It's like the first time playing Grand Theft Auto is akin to the first time having sex it's such a sacred moment for GTA fans

 

I was very nervous about having GTA3. I heard the rumors about hookers and sh*t, I didn't want to get caught with something on my screen that my parents wouldn't be impressed about. I started the game and watched the opening. That bitch just shot me! Oh my, the bridge just got blown up. Sh*t, I'm on the run, better drive to this safehouse this 8-Ball guy is talking about. And so it began. The feeling... it was like jacking into a virtual reality. It just felt real. Complete immersion overload. Driving around, crashing into corners, flipping and blowing up, I still was in awe. The late 90s music and that new millennium vibe. The lighting, the atmosphere, the feel. The excitement of what is possible. Really, the only other games that has given me such a feeling was Ocarina of Time (when you first enter Hyrule Field), GTASA (felt f*cking huge), and GTA4 (akin to III).

 

4. What made you go and buy another GTA game?

 

Well I wanted to check out the other GTAs anyway when I first got my PS2, but I decided to skip VC and head straight into San Andreas since I was really excited by the idea of it being set in an entire state.

 

5. What is your favorite GTA and why?

 

GTA4. GTA3 is a good second.

 

I have never been more hyped for a game than GTA4, and never has a game more than lived up to my dreams than GTA4 has. I was blown away by the first trailer. I was even more blown away when I played it. It's managed to be my most played video game ever. Niko Bellic is a real human being. Liberty City is a real world.

 

6. How many GTAs do you own? What are they? Do you want to have those you are missing?

 

I own four: GTA3, VC, SA and IV. I got rid of TLAD and TBOGT because I prefer just having the main IV game and not be "distracted" by their side-stories. I suppose I just have a certain loyalty to Niko and his story.

I don't play VC and have barely gotten through it, but it's nice to know I have it. The other GTA's I'm honestly not too concerned about playing, although I did rent VCS one time.

 

7. What platform do you prefer playing GTA on and why?

 

Playstation. It feels right. Something about the sleek black look of a Playstation and the general vibe of it goes well with Grand Theft Auto. I would love to have a good PC to make machinima's with GTA4 though.

 

8. Do you consider yourself an addict or a hardcore fan of GTA?

 

I would say I'm a lover of all things Rockstar, and an obsessive fan of Grand Theft Auto in particular.

 

9. Would you like to live in any of GTA's cities given the chance? If yes, where exactly and why?

 

I love certain locations in GTA, but I'm wary to actually live in such a corrupt, crime-filled universe. Let's say I'm a cool criminal: I wouldn't mind being in the Red Light District, or maybe the mansion area in Shoreside Vale. In San Andreas, I would like to live out in the countryside or maybe Las Venturas especially. In IV, Meadows Park is a lovely location, as well as Westdyke.

 

10. What character's clothing and vehicles would you like to have IRL?

 

Niko's brown leather jacket is cool, it reminds me of Leon's jacket from RE4 as well. Claude's outift would be nice too.

 

A Sentinel, a Stallion, an Infernus, an Oracle and a SuperGT would be a fine vehicular collection.

My dad picked up GTA III and VC at a local gaming store up where he worked and when he brought them home, I knew I had to play them just by looking at the cases.

 

2. What was the first GTA? What platform was it on?

 

I saw my dad play GTA III/VC on PS2 first, but the first time I played was GTA San Andreas on PS2.

 

3. How did it feel - to play GTA for the first time?

 

It felt amazing. Just an undescribable feeling. A game where you have the freedom to do just about anything..Yeah, that's amazing.

 

4. What made you go and buy another GTA game?

 

Since I enjoyed GTA III/VC so much, I just had to pick up the rest of the GTA games.

 

5. What is your favorite GTA and why?

 

I have 3 favorites. GTA IV, San Andreas, and Vice City. They just give me the best feeling and memories.

 

6. How many GTAs do you own? What are they? Do you want to have those you are missing?

 

I own every GTA game, except GTA 1,2, London 1949, and Chinatown Wars. I'll eventually pick them up some day.

 

7. What platform do you prefer playing GTA on and why?

 

Playstation. That's just what I've always played on.

 

8. Do you consider yourself an addict or a hardcore fan of GTA?

 

Yes. I play GTA everyday.

 

9. Would you like to live in any of GTA's cities given the chance? If yes, where exactly and why?

 

Liberty City. I'd specifically want to live at Beachgate. I love going there in the game, and it's a pretty place right by the water.

 

10. What character's clothing and vehicles would you like to have IRL?

 

I'd like to have Claude Speed's outfit.

 

As for vehicles, I'll just name a few. Vigero, Infernus, Comet, Banshee, Diablo Stallion, and Hotknife.

 

Can't say my favorite quote, because I don't remember any. I do like when Niko says "Shiit!" and "I'm glad this ees not my car", though..

I saw the GTA VC commerecial with the guy talking about it, and m mom said she wanted it, so we got it on release, my parents and me and my sister played that game all day and all night, beattng all kinds of missions.

I actually didn't buy my second one, my mom got GTA SA from Bestbuy, and everyone played it, it was epic, all the cheats, the city, the characters, the funny quotes, SA as the game of my dreams.

GTA SA because of all the good memories I have tied to it.

I have: GTA SA (PS2), GTA SA (PC), GTA III (PC), GTA VC (PC), GTA VCS (PSP), GTA EFLC (PS3), GTA IV (PS3). I do want to have LCS, III (PS2), VC (PS2) and IV for PS2.

 

7. What platform do you prefer playing GTA on and why?

Playstation. Reason being is because I have been playing GTA on Plasystaion since I got my first GTA.

 

 

8. Do you consider yourself an addict or a hardcore fan of GTA?

Yes.

 

 

9. Would you like to live in any of GTA's cities given the chance? If yes, where exactly and why?

SA, The city near the water in SF near the red bridge. Reason is because the Atmosphere is amazing, oh and in the really nice neighborhood in LV near the train tracks, same reason as SF.

 

10. What character's clothing and vehicles would you like to have IRL?

CJ's outfit, because it looks comfy and it is easy to get, and the Banshee from III, Turismo from IV, Coquette + Banshee from IV, Sultan RS from IV and Comet from IV. (THrow in the sentinel and Huntley's from both SA and IV)

1. How did you discover GTA? Did someone introduce you to it?

My mum's boyfriend brought it home in 2003 (?), initially I wasn't allowed to play it but would watch in disbelief, I never knew games would let you do stiff like that, let alone that long ago. Most of the games I played prior to it were stiff like Banjo Kazooie and Mario Kart 64, I'd never seen anything so violent. I'm glad I was exposed to it at such a young age or else I might not be a fanboy of the series now.

 

 

2. What was the first GTA? What platform was it on?

The game he brought home was GTA Vice City for PlayStation 2, which I believe we got the day it was released Down Under. Soon later we got GTA 3 which, for some reason, I enjoyed vastly more than Vice City. To this day I still pay those games and hold them very close to my heart. The worst thing you could say to me is that you hate GTA.

 

 

3. How did it feel - to play GTA for the first time?

It was absolutely amazing. As I mentioned I'd never played anything like it before; a game where you could kill anyone, drive anything, go anywhere. In fact I didn't even know anything like that existed. Initially I was quite surprised due to this, but I got used to it and it became the norm to watch my mum's boyfriend play games like this.

 

 

4. What made you go and buy another GTA game?

The first GTA game I brought with my own money was San Andreas in 2007 (?). It is still my favourite game if all time. But what made me buy it? GTA 3 did. I was luckily clever enough to work out the link between the three games back then, so the story lines of the games were some of the best plots I'd ever payed through.

 

 

5. What is your favorite GTA and why?

GTA San Andreas. This game gives you more freedom throughout the game's world than any other Grand Theft Auto. It is pretty much limitless. It introduced me to a variety of vehicles, locations and swear words. At first I wasn't a fan of the gangster mentality everyone in the game had, but it grew on me quickly and is my favourite game ever. So glad I brought it.

 

 

6. How many GTAs do you own? What are they? Do you want to have those you are missing?

I own the following:

• GTA 3 (PS2, iOS)

• GTA Vice City (PS2, iOS)

• GTA San Andreas (PS2)

• GTA Liberty City Stories (PS2)

• GTA 4 (PS3)

• The Lost and Damned (PS3)

• GTA Chinatown Wars (NDS, iOS)

• The Ballad of Gay Tony (PS3)

So the only 3D-World GTA that I'm missing is Vice City Stories. I'll probably get it soon, but I'm in no rush.

 

 

7. What platform do you prefer playing GTA on and why?

Well as you can probably tell by the above I mostly play GTA on Sony'c consoles. However if I could afford to get a decent PC I would be playing them all in computer.

 

 

8. Do you consider yourself an addict or a hardcore fan of GTA?

Both. I used to be addicted but now that I'm older there are more important things I need to do regrading schoolwork. Hopefully when I'm a bit older i can make some more time to play GTA again, because I really miss the old days where I would sit on my arse playing GTA all day.

 

 

9. Would you like to live in any of GTA's cities given the chance? If yes, where exactly and why?

I'd like to live in Vinewood in 1992, however knowing my luck if probably end up in a sh*thole like El Corona or Doherty, SF.

PC I think. It was either GTA I or II.

Dissapointing, I didn't know it was a top-down game. I was a Driver Series fan.

I played GTA III at a friends house and beat it. When Vice City came out I borrowed it from a friend. Same with San Andreas but I wanted a copy of my own so I've bought two GTA SA games, first PS2 then Xbox.

San Andreas, it has everything I wanted. The variety of missions kept my interest and the feel of the city couldn't be beat.

Almost all of them. I want China Town Wars, but I don't have the right gaming system.

Xbox, it looks better than the PS2.

Sure, I'd like to have the amount of houses CJ has in San Andreas. That way I can be in any city and still have a place to sleep and change my clothes when I have too many stars.

Clothes? Nothing in particular. Vehicles? Cars like the Infernus and such, but also the Jet Pack and Hydra.

In 1997 I was nine years old living in the Dominican Republic and my cousin who came to visit from New York brought Grand Theft Auto and he let me play it.

For the GTA 3 era I would say Xbox because the graphics were a bit better. And for the GTA 4 era PS3 hands down.

If GTA were to be a drug, I would need rehab ASAP. GTA fan till I die.

Vice City to visit all of the places I went to in the game like the mansion, Raphaels, Rosenbergs Firm, etc.

1. How did you discover GTA? Did someone introduce you to it?

Nope. It was my 7th birthday when Mom decided to treat me on a video game. GTA III was a big seller in that time and I bought it too. I never regretted it and I never will. Maybe Mum does.

 

2. What was the first GTA? What platform was it on?

It was GTA III like I said above and the only console I had was my Pentium III PC.

 

3. How did it feel - to play GTA for the first time?

It felt awesome. I probably free-roamed for about 3 months and never did a mission maybe only one where you drive to a safe house. It really was good. I loved the graphics (because they were best at that time) and the physics and the gameplay too.

 

4. What made you go and buy another GTA game?

Once I finished GTA III, GTA Vice City was released. So I bought that too. It was more awesome and it is still my favorite game.

GTA San Andreas and GTA Vice City. San Andreas because I loved the gameplay the awesome feature sin the game and the variety of missions. Vice City because of Tommy's character, back story and the gameplay is very nostalgic.

PC. Because of its awesome graphics and because I have only it.

I first played GTA when one of my mother's friends found out I liked video games, so he invited us over and showed me GTA 2

 

2. What was the first GTA? What platform was it on?

GTA 2 on PS1. I was only 5 years old.

 

3. How did it feel - to play GTA for the first time?

It felt just like another game I didn't realize how amazing it was until I got my hands on Vice City.

 

4. What made you go and buy another GTA game?

I was a 7 year old that wanted to say "f*ck you i won't do what you tell me" to my parents when they told me I couldn't play GTA.

 

5. What is your favorite GTA and why?

I admit my favorite GTA is Liberty City Stories. It was the first GTA I owned and the first I won. When I first played GTA SA I thought I would die if I fell in the water . I played it under the radar of my mother for about a year before she figured it out. She never figured out about San Andreas though.

 

6. How many GTAs do you own? What are they? Do you want to have those you are missing?

7 counting TLAD and TBoGT as one with GTA IV. I own GTA 1, 3, VC, SA, LCS, VCS, and IV. I've completed the stories for all except VCS. I'm still looking for the London games. I used to have GTA 2 but literally lost it.

 

7. What platform do you prefer playing GTA on and why?

Console. I've always been a console gamer and have only tried SA on PC and have had a terrible time figuring out how to work the game.

 

8. Do you consider yourself an addict or a hardcore fan of GTA?

I wouldn't consider myself an addict. Sure I'm going to buy GTA V on release day, but I'm not going to be playing GTA every waking moment until then.

 

9. Would you like to live in any of GTA's cities given the chance? If yes, where exactly and why?

I would like to live in Vice City. It is absolutely beautiful for a RenderWare game. I would also love to live in the perpetual 80s.

1. How did you discover GTA? Did someone introduce you to it?

Back in 2003 we bought new PC and I don't even know who installed GTA Vice city on our PC, I found it on first day when we got out PC. I seriously don't know who the hell installed it because my mother wasn't very pleased to see me playing it.

 

2. What was the first GTA? What platform was it on?

As I said above, it was Vice City on PC

 

3. How did it feel - to play GTA for the first time?

I have never played game like this before. It was absolutely amazing no other game gives you that much freedom you can do anything you want. City was full of life, interesting things which made me love this game since then.

 

4. What made you go and buy another GTA game?

In 2005 my friend told me about that there is a new GTA- San Andreas. He showed me some gameplay and I played on his ps2 for a while and I was amazed after I saw the whole city and things which you can do. 2 months after that I got my own copy on PC and I literally became addicted. Every day after school I could play it, even just free roaming around city and I would never get bored. I will probably never have so much fun in any game like I had in 2005.

Although I said that I had so much fun with GTA San Andreas, I must say that it's not my favourite. My favourite GTA is Vice City. Ever since I played this game I fell in love with 80s theme, music and all that stuff, I still play it regularly and it will probably remain my favourite for a long time.

All GTAs from III onwards on PC (with the exception of Advance, Chinatown wars) and VCS/LCS on PSP + VC/III on Android. I really have no desire to play Advance and Chinatown wars, I played Chinatown wars for a while but I'm not into it anymore.

PC all the way, I way prefer gaming on computer I have been PC gamer almost all my life except ps1 and PSP.

 

8. Do you consider yourself an addict or a hardcore fan of GTA?

I used to be addicted a lot, I was thinking about GTA pretty much whole day no matter what I was doing at the time. Now I don't do that anymore, but I play GTA quite a lot and I'm enjoying it. So I would say I'm something between addict and hardcore fan.

 

9. Would you like to live in any of GTA's cities given the chance? If yes, where exactly and why?

80s Vice City probably on first island. I like it much more than 2nd island (and first island in VCS). And I love 80s.

 

10. What character's clothing and vehicles would you like to have IRL?

I never thought about this really. Though I always love VC's Infernus and Tommy's regular clothes.

I found a disc with GTA Games. Since all of my friends and classmates played it and said it's a great game, I thought about buying it.

 

2. What was the first GTA? What platform was it on?

I can't quite remember which one - VC or SA. The platform was PC.

 

3. How did it feel - to play GTA for the first time?

It felt like a new discovery for me. All those features, like open world and many different characters... I've just liked it.

 

4. What made you go and buy another GTA game?

Probably the fact that I wanted to see if there are other GTA games.

 

5. What is your favorite GTA and why?

San Andreas. I've liked every little feature in it - from the theme to clothing and dating girlfriends.

Two - San Andreas and III.

PC, because I don't have any other platforms.

Maybe San Fierro. It's my favorite town from San Andreas.

1. How did you discover GTA? Did someone introduce you to it?

When I went round to my older cousins', they let me play GTA II when they wanted to do other stuff.

 

2. What was the first GTA? What platform was it on?

First I played was GTA II on PC, first I owned was GTA III on PS2.

 

3. How did it feel - to play GTA for the first time?

It felt amazing, I hadn't played any violent games before so didn't know games could be like that.

 

4. What made you go and buy another GTA game?

First one I bought was Vice City, bought it because I liked GTA III and wanted another experience.

 

5. What is your favorite GTA and why?

Vice City, I love the bright 80's atmosphere and the storyline, while directly taking from Scarface amongst other things was still excellent.

 

6. How many GTAs do you own? What are they? Do you want to have those you are missing?

I own:

• GTA II (PS1)

• GTA III (PS2, PC, iOS)

• GTA Vice City (PS2, PC, iOS)

• GTA San Andreas (PS2, PC)

• GTA Liberty City Stories (PS2)

• GTA Advance (GBA)

• GTA IV (PS3, PC)

• Episodes From Liberty City (PC)

Would like to get the I era games and VCS, as I have never played them. I've owned CTW but sold it, may get it again on iOS.

 

7. What platform do you prefer playing GTA on and why?

PC, it just feels easier to play on my favourite gaming system and the controls don't bother me.

I also enjoy my iPad, never knew that it could emulate games originally released on 3D systems so easily.

 

8. Do you consider yourself an addict or a hardcore fan of GTA?

I play the III era games just about every day, so yeah, I would consider myself an addict.

 

9. Would you like to live in any of GTA's cities given the chance? If yes, where exactly and why?

Vice City, shame I'm not made of money, could always settle in Little Havana as it's quite cheap there. xD

 

10. What character's clothing and vehicles would you like to have IRL?

Would quite like the Leone Suit or the Crazy '69 Jumpsuit, both belonging to Toni Cipriani.

Car wise, probably a Sea Sparrow, yes, it's a helicopter, but c'mon, you can fly anywhere you want, can land on water, and shoot stuff...

My sister's friend, claiming it's multiplayer.

GTAIII, PS3

Interesting, liked how I can easily explore and do whatever I want.

 

4. What made you go and buy another GTA game?

Thought it would be Claude again with Vice City... Wasn't feeling VC, the next game [sA] I could relate to the settings and environment which got me interested to the series.

GTAIII, brings good memories. GTACTW, brings back what made GTA fun.

I used to own all GTAs beyond III but sold it for money.

PC, but computer isn't strong enough for IV, so I'm settling for the PS3 ATM.

Luis flashy outfits.

I'm content with a Kuruma. Other than that: Sultan, Futo, or current gen Schafter.

1. How did you discover GTA? Did someone introduce you to it?- I remember when I was 5, I saw my mom bring in a plastic bag. the bag contained GTA 3 and GTA Vice City. After she played a little, she gave me the controller, and I just drove around and stopped at red lights the whole time.

 

 

2. What was the first GTA? What platform was it on?- GTA 3, I'm pretty sure. Like I said before, I got both GTA 3 and Vice City at the same time, but I'm pretty positive I first played 3. It was on the original Xbox.

 

 

3. How did it feel - to play GTA for the first time?- When I was a kid, I was very interested in cities. I always wanted a game where I could just drive around in one. It felt fulfilling.

 

 

4. What made you go and buy another GTA game?- I was what, 12, when IV came out? I forgot about 3 and Vice City then, but when I heard GTA IV was coming out, I was excited. I would stare at pictures all day long.

 

 

5. What is your favorite GTA and why?- IV or San Andreas, they are both very fun. A game normally doesn't last me 5 years, but I still find myself going back to IV. And I loved the level of customization in SA.

 

 

 

6. How many GTAs do you own? What are they? Do you want to have those you are missing?- I only have IV and TBOGT, but I'm thinking about playing through SA one more time.
